About Us
Companion Animal Program was created to provide much needed veterinary care, food and supplies to the companion animals of those experiencing homeless.
For many without housing or shelter, animals provide the safety, love, and comfort that is so hard to come by when a family or support system has been lost. St Vincent de Paul intends to create a community where all can experience belonging, and no one is abandoned – for some people experiencing homelessness, a pet may be their only family and sense of stability. CAP strives to keep pet owners SAFE, TOGETHER, and SHELTERED with their pets, by providing services that are not available or very difficult to find in our community.
We are striving to ensure we are not duplicating any services already provided within the animal community, but rather, bringing partners and resources together to help serve the companion animals who arrive at our doors with our guests.
