finicky Greyhound doesn't think this is yummy; works ground up

By Clydesdale on Mar 13, 2021

Our retired racing rescued Greyhound is NOT food motivated and can be finicky about what she eats. She definitely doesn't think these aspirins are a tasty treat; so she won't eat them by themselves. I then cut them up into 3 or 4 pieces which I hid among her dry food, and she managed to spit out several pieces. She must have learned this trick from our cats. Then I tried grinding into a fine powder and mixing it into her food. That works! And it is even better if I add probiotic powder that she DOES think is yummy. So, the smart human managed to get the aspirin into the finicky dog. It seems to be helping a racing injury that is likely turning into an arthritic ankle.

    work in progress

By bbnana on Dec 28, 2020

I bought this aspirin because the normal brand I buy wasn't available. I believe it is helping with my dog's hip and joint pain. She is 12 now and needs a little help to get through the day. This aspirin is the same dosage as the other brand, so I would think it will work just as well. We have only been using for a week.

Good pain alternative to vet prescriptions

By McLeodsMom on Aug 8, 2020

This is my 2nd buy of this doggy aspirin. My pup needs TPLO (ACL) surgery. He's on anti-inflammatories + tramadol for pain. But tramadol is a controlled substance and vet protocols during Covid have been challenging and getting scripts or having my vet fill meds (until they are scheduling surgeries) has been challenging. So rather than have him on nothing for pain during times when I'm trying to get into the vet for refills, I give him 2 of these aspirin in the morning and 2 at night and it seems to help his pain. So I'll always keep this on hand even post surgery in case anything happens-it's nice to have something dog safe for pain should you need it as you wait to see a vet.

Have used with other pets, like for most part. Worked better for my dogs to put in pill pockets.

Nice alternative to Rx pain meds

By Jerky on Jan 5, 2020

I have two senior dogs, an Aussie and a cardigan, who don’t do well on rimadyl or other Rx pain meds. They eat these like a treat and it helps keep them active. Also works great for my Dobes after a hard day of agility or hiking.

I've used another brand and love it for my dogs

By Lala on Jan 22, 2020

I haven't opened this bottle but it seems to be the same. Follow the weight dosage instructions. I've cut them in 1/2 or 1/4's for my smaller dogs.

    Solid brand

    By TJ2019 on Nov 14, 2019

Good aspirin. A smaller size chewable that is easier to stash in a treat works well for my dog.
