Although someone asked before, I still am not clear. I see the underlying mattress has a washable cover, but I can't tell about the rest of the bed. Does it also have a removable cover? If not, can you throw the entire thing into the wash?

The whole bed can is washable 100 % machine washable. The cover, sleep surface, bolster covers, bolsters are all machine washable.

Not so great
I was really excited about the size, bolsters, and customizable aspect of this bed. It came customized as ordered, but I'm definitely disappointed with this bed. It's incredibly noisy. Not sure what material was used for the main section, but it shouldn't wake you up at night when your dog turns around! And the bolsters just fall off to the side, rather than staying upright so your dog can snuggle with them. For the money spent, I'm disappointed. And truthfully, my dog doesn't like it either. She hasn't slept on it yet.
