The led lights held up pretty well even during some very cold Wisconsin nights, but after just a few months of use, the charging port seems to have fallen clean off. It looks to have been held on with just a dab of glue. The leash is too stiff to be worth using without functioning lights.
Probably used it a dozen or 2 dozen times and maybe charged it 5 times. The charging lead to the battery broke off. Not worth the money.
Battery leads broke after 3 months - poorly made, don’t buy.
Love this item. Have heard comments from passersby stating they should get one. It makes me feel safer when it starts getting darker out.
The light up function is great, but the nylon stitching down the sides is very sharp. If you can walk your dog by only holding on to the top handle it's fine, but I have a very rambunctious and playful pup that needs to be reeled in at times and the rest of the leash is too sharp to grasp. I can't even use it :(
I got it was wonderful at first to take my dogs out at night for the bed time potty break, but I have a puller. My leashes light part only lighted up 1/2 way after 2 weeks. Permanently broken after a month. Leash part still works. Not recommended for dogs who like to pull.
I needed my dog to be scene on our dark early morning winter walks. While I did carry a flash light and my dog did have a light attached to her collar, I felt the small light on her collar wasn't enough. This leash has worked out so well, that some other dog walkers that we see along the way have asked me where I purchased the leash! I haven't needed to recharge the leash yet, but so far I am very happy with the purchase.
I’ve had this now for over a month. I charged it fully before our first use. Worked great! Lights were bright, perfect for our night walks. Unfortunately once it died I charged it all night just to have it die after 2 minutes of use. Been trying to recharge it for a week now.
I have had so many positive comments about this lease. It's really a terrific safety feature, especially when there are no sidewalks in your area. And there are no batteries needed. It comes with its own charger. The lease is about 5 feet long which is perfect at sunset to keep your dog safely close to you. It's perfect!
Bah...I ordered the blue but got the green, oh well! now I have a radioactive dog :D joking aside, the collar is bright and looks radioactive awesome but does not stay the fitted size because it's missing a slider clamp...so every time I put the collar on it would open up to the full size allowing slip off (could be fatal especially when you have a teenager that likes to challenge you and everyone else) I've secured the sizing with an elastic band but I am also using a second collar to ensure the safety of my dog and everyone else. I would suggest you use a needle and thread and sew it to the size you need it to be to prevent it from returning to original size while walking. I can only recommend this collar if you pair it with a second more secure collar or if you make modifications to keep it secure. I don't recommend if your dog has thick, long, dark hair (white hair makes the radioactive look ;D).
