    Smart puppy or great book?

    By on

While I would like to believe that my puppy is a genius, it is apparent that this book is amazing. Started training my puppy at 8 weeks. Would not have believed she could have learned these tricks so fast. Great guide for the beginner. Start your puppy on the right track early. Well worth the money.

    Basic Obedience Mostly

    By on

Only a few fun tricks... The rest is basic obedience like sit, down, stay, kennel, leave it, shake, rollover... Most of this my puppy already knows. Great book for a beginner maybe, but I was hoping for more unique trick ideas.

    So Far Very Helpful

    By on

Walking has become a breeze with my rambunctious puppy. He used to pull and frequently caught people off guard almost causing a few falls, but now everyone is able to walk him with few problems. My puppy learns very quickly and I am very excited to teach him more tricks soon!

    some cute tricks but...

    By on Top 100 Contributor

this book has some cute tricks in it but the name is a little bit misleading. Some of the things in it are basic obedience commands and are not tricks at all, such as "come" that is not a trick, it is an obedience command. Calling it a trick relegates the command to frivolity but in actuality it is a lifesaving command NEEDED for all puppies. Some of the "tricks" such as kisses can make some people feel disgusted at the idea of their dog licking their face. All in all the book is well written and has some fun things in it, I just wish there weren't basic commands listed as tricks

This fantastic book is a great investment!

    By on

I'd highly recommend this book, and any other by Kyra Sundance, for anyone who has a new puppy (or even an old dog that wants to learn new tricks!) This book will give you easy to follow step by step instructions on how to teach your puppy basic commands like sit or more advanced tricks like roll over and put your toys away. Great investment!

    Puppy Training

    By on

I bought this book because I recently got a 2 month old Weimaraner. After going through the book, I decided to give it a try. The steps were very clear, and so were the pictures. It was very easy. I taught my pup 3 tricks in about an hour. I definitely would recommend this book.

    Cute tricks

    By on

Very cute tricks and easy way of showing someone how to get their pup or dog to do the command. I do not clicker train which the book recommends but it is all easy enough to do without the clicker part. Now my pups got a lot of work to do!
