Good, affordable food

I feed stray and feral cats at my house and where I work. Cat food has gone up a lot recently and this is about the only cat food left that's affordable. Compared to other foods though, they seem to really enjoy this one. It doesn't have the best ingredients, but at the same time it could be worse. It's definitely a good choice whenever you need cat food but can't afford an expensive brand. Or if you're like me and a cat lover and want to feed all the homeless cats. I do have one complaint, within the last few weeks I have been unable to find this food online or in any stores. I don't know what's going on, but I'm getting a little concerned that I won't be able to find any to purchase and it'll force me to change brands. Which I don't like to switch up different foods cause it could mess up the kitties tummies. … more

Gave half our feral cats diarrhea.

All seemed well in the beginning, but about halfway through the 3rd 28lbs bag (about 4 weeks) about half of our feral cats came down with severe diarrhea, & several were showing a significant weight loss. Started putting the Purina Naturals back out for them & the diarrhea cleared up, & they started to get some of their weight back. I can say that when they were given a choice between the two, of the 4 bowls we keep filled, the 2 bowls of 9 Lives will sit virtually untouched, whereas we'd refill the 2 bowls of Purina Naturals at about a 2 or 3 to 1 ratio vs the 9 Lives. So this 9 Lives is off their menu. … more
