Feeding Instructions

Feed an Adult 8 - 10 lb cat or a 3 lb kitten 1 can twice a day. Adjust as needed for your cat's age and activity level.

Transition Instructions

When switching your pet's diet, we recommend transitioning from the current diet to the new product over a 5-7 day period. Replace 15-20% of the current diet with the new product each day until they are fully transitioned. If you do not have any of your current formula to mix, reduce the amount of the new product fed for the first few days, feeding smaller more frequent meals and increase over time. As always, we also recommend checking with your veterinarian for the most accurate feeding recommendations for your pet. If your pet is more sensitive to change, please allow 10-14 days to fully transition onto the new formula.

Switched From Friskies To 9 Lives? Big Mistake.

By Oldnavcat on Nov 18, 2021

I have twenty cats. They have been eating Friskies. Due to back orders, I had to switch to 9Lives. The inside cats do not like it at all and will not eat it. My inside/outside garage cats will eat some of what they are given. It is very sticky and even though it is shreaded, it will not come out of the can easily.

    welcome dinner

By sarose on Jun 22, 2021

I usually didn't purchase this item as some of my past cats were not fond of this type of canned food and often just licked up the sauce leaving the solids. When I got this recently, the cats ate it up.

    Not a favorite

By Catlady on Jul 17, 2021

One can had no sauce. It was totally dry. Other than that, the cats lick what sauce there is, but don't eat the shreds.

My cats like it for a change of pace. They like Friskies better.

    Not a fav. Bad Batch?

By Nonprescription on Jul 25, 2020

Each of three cats has different favorites. None of them want to finish this and it gets put out for the outside ferals often. In the past, the same flavor was consumed more, so either the quality has gone down or this wasn't a good packaging run for contents.

    Kitties rather enjoy it

By Sactogamer on May 6, 2020

We have two kitties and both like this one. Our younger cat eats it right up. Our older guy likes it, too, but sometimes doesn't finish it. The only downside, really, is that the food tends to get all over the place (our older dude is a messy eater).
