How much do you need to use to wash a heavy weight horse blanket.
Answer by ChewyMay 09, 2021
It is recommended to use 1 - 2 ounces (8 - 9 pumps per ounce) per load. Do not over-stuff machine. Use warm wash and warm rinse cycles on the regular to heavy-duty settings for everything except wool items. For wool items, use warm wash and cold rinse cycles on the regular setting.

Caused my horse to break out!!

It's a pleasent smelling product but I washed all my rainsheets in it thinking it would be great as it was designed for horse stuff right? It got the blankets CLEAN but I put my mares rain sheet on her for the first time since I washed it Friday night and by the time I got out there again Saturday night, she had broken out in large hives everywhere the blanket had touched. Nothing on her legs, underside of belly, or neck. Just in the pattern of the blanket and worse where the blanket had "intense" contact. She has never had a reaction to anything else. Guess it's back to plain old Gain detergent.

Overpowering fragrance

May be OK for some, but the fragrance was is way to potent for me.
