Cat went for this right away!

By Seamus on Sep 4, 2021

My cat has been eating the Acana Meadowlands, not very thrilled about it, but eating it. Had been through Farmina, and several others that he liked, but after reading what is in it...the Acana ingredients are what I want him eating. As soon as this hit the bowl he was on it! I am ordering more.

    Not for my cats

By Maxy on Nov 1, 2021

Both my cats sniffed this food and walked away. Really good ingredients, but even mixing with their other food they left it in the dish.

    Acana Grasslands

By Ziggysmama on May 20, 2021

My 3 cats love this food! I've tried Farmina, Fussy Cat, Fromm and Canidae. Those foods don't even come close to Acana Grasslands. It's hard to get 3 cats to like the same thing but no problem with this. I'll continue to buy it.

    Was poultry free, not anymore!

By ChihuahuaIsland on May 1, 2021

I have a cat who is allergic to poultry and this was a food she was doing great on. Now the only poultry free food they have is fish based. Long term use of fish based foods can cause thyroid issues in cats due to the mercury. Acana please bring back other poultry free proteins!

    Disappointed

By Megan on May 28, 2021

I’m really disappointed in this company’s switch to poultry ingredients. I used to feel safe feeding my cats this brand. Not anymore. Look elsewhere for quality food.

FORMULA CHANGED to Chicken & Turkey

By CGrey on Jan 22, 2021

I’ve used this product for years specifically due to the original ‘Grasslands’ formula having zero chicken and turkey ingredients. The original formula was compromised of lamb, duck, and goat proteins (see photo). Now, the ‘Grasslands’ formula’s been changed ... the lamb and goat proteins have been removed and replaced with CHICKEN and TURKEY. Acana also used to offer a chicken- and turkey-free “red meat” formula for cats that was comprised of beef, bison, venison ingredients. That formula has also been eliminated. Every single formula that Acana now produces for cats is either strictly fish or is CHICKEN and TURKEY. Read the ingredients. ‘Indoor’ formula - chicken and turkey. ‘Meadowlands I’ve used this product for years specifically due to the original ‘Grasslands’ formula having zero chicken and turkey ingredients.
