All ACANA recipes are formulated to meet the nutritional guidelines for dogs as established by AAFCO. Based on their requirements, ACANA formulates to the minimum requirement of 7.3 milligrams per kilogram of copper on a dry matter basis in the adult maintenance diets and 12.4 milligrams per kilogram for the All Life Stages diets. While there is natural variation due to the ingredients in ACANA and ORIJEN, the typical amount of copper found in ACANA Lamb & Apple is 38 milligrams per kilogram.

a limited ingredient blend that she actually likes!

i rotate limited ingredient formulas into my gsd's diet to give her system a break from complex blends but because they're often kind of bland i prepare for her to be "less than enthused" about it. that didn't happen this time! she tucks into this food with the same gusto as the richer varieties so i'm definitely buying this one again.

Substantial Doggie Food

I feed this to my Cavalier King Charles spaniel. He is four years old now. I fed it to my St. Bernard and she lived to be 14. The chewy representative told me all about this dog food and I was impressed. That was years ago and I have been using mostly this ever since.

My little dog loves this

I have a maltipoo that's a bit picky about her food. I dont know why. She loves this single ingredient series though. In addition to this lamb & apple recipe, I also got her the pork& squash and beef& pumpkin to try. I didn't really have to slowly transition her food from her old dog food, she just right away wanted to eat all of this. Definitely recommend

Good product

I went back to feeding my 5 dogs Acana. They seem to love the lamb as they toss out the old food I mixed in to transition them. Chewy is a great company with fast delivery and great customer service.

Finally an answer

I have tried dog food after dog food to find the right one. She had such an acid stomach and icky poop. After reading dog food advisor I settled on this. Wow does it make a difference. I got the Lamb and Apple . I do add a spoonful of pumpkin to it. They did not have the one with pumpkin in it at the time. The treats, I give her two in the morning to quickly settle her stomach. Success. She would run out and want to eat grass before. Then breakfast right away. She is no longer on Pepcid and sometimes Pepto Bismol. Poops are normal and so no anal gland issues. What a difference. She quit eating her feet when I got her off chicken. I knew I was headed right direction. It’s expensive trying different food and hard on everyone. Things have finally settled down. Thank you Acana. Chewy delivered promptly. Fresh bag. Thank you chewy for carrying this brand.

No more allergies and excellent quality

Our Weimaraner had food allergies, we’ve tried so many different foods, this is first food that finally worked. She loves it, all her stomach issues and skin issues have been resolved. No more runny stools. The food is very high quality and she is excited to eat.

Dog loves it - no fishy smell!!

My 110lb lab shepherd rescue has been having on and off rejection of feed. I put this in his bowl and he chows down. No diarrhea With this food which has been an ongoing problem. Love this feed.
