Dog won't eat anything else! Love this food

By Haley on Nov 29, 2021

My dog is super picky and has allergies (poultry, grain, doesn't like seafood) and he drools for this food. His coat is super shiny, we get compliments about how beautiful he is every time we go out. It is expensive but very worth it.

Great company, great ingredients but no one will eat it

By Judith on Oct 4, 2021

I feel very guilty feeding lamb to my pets but I thought I would try it after reading how chicken is maybe not that great for dogs. I discovered there's chicken in A LOT of dog foods. My pets--except for the new puppy--are all rescues and I will never understand why they're such picky eaters considering I feel very guilty feeding lamb to my pets but I thought I would try it after reading how chicken is maybe not that great for dogs. Not a favorite

    By on

My standard poodles are incredibly picky, so I'm not entirely surprised that they didn't love this formula. However, they generally love Acana food... they didn't dig this formula with the grain. Not a part of the regular rotation.

    All our dogs like it

I'm so glad that Acana has come out with this food, which has no legumes. The dogs like it, and it is excellent quality.

    Good but pricey

    By on

This food seems fine. We were looking for a kibble that had some healthy grains and good protein. We use it in combination with fresh/frozen food from Ollie. This is an expensive kibble but it is one of the few kibbles we could find that met the criteria we wanted.

My two pups love this food!

    By on

My older dog had been suffering from really bad GI issues. After a food trial we decided to go with the lamb and pumpkin limited ingredient food with wholesome grains. I loved what I read on the ingredient label and what I read about the company. Got our first bag and my pup loved the food and did so well on it. We held our breath the first few days just waiting for a flare up,but nothing! He has been on this food for a few months now and he still loves it and is doing great! And our 8 month old puppy got into his brothers food bowl and now refuses to eat any other dog food. So he is on it as well. Thank you Acana!!!

    Finally a transition off prescription

    By on

My 9 month old Goldendoodle has been on a prescription diet for 4 months and had numerous failed attempts when trying to transition to other non-prescription foods (they always led to severe GI upset). We know she has an intolerance to “something” but we haven’t been able to narrow in on the exact ingredient. This LID diet appealed to me as it still incorporated grains and was high in fiber for her sensitive stomach. I also liked that I could use this food as my dog is still a puppy and continue feeding as an adult. We had to start off very slow in the beginning of the transition, like 25% new food for a full week, then 50% for a week, and 75% for a week.
