    Dog Whistle

By Whistle on Nov 29, 2020

What most of the negative reviewers don’t understand is you have to train dogs to respond to cues. I bought this because my 11 month old heeler mix responds really well to whistling but I can’t whistle. I’ve been training her and my other dog to come when they hear it and it’s going very well. They were very interested the first time they heard it. I blew it the other day when my dog was rolling in something gross in the woods and she came running. It’s a great little whistle.

Works well for my Sheltie mix!

By PammySue on Dec 29, 2020

My two dogs - a Silver Lab and a Sheltie mix - love to announce any car, person, or whatever it may be. This whistle is working well for us at the moment. It grabs their attention and then I praise them so hopefully they’ll begin to catch on to preferred behavior.

It's a whistle, but not what I wanted.

By LittleZoo on Jan 25, 2021

I was looking for a new recall sound, but this one was too loud and shrill for what I wanted. It is pretty well constructed and seems good as far as whistles go.

    Choose another

By Weak on Jan 8, 2021

Try another type-, but not this whistle . Price is right, & two thumbs up for Chewy...BUT whistle is weak. Pitch is high but weak; sound does not carry, & utterly no variation .

    Gets your dog's attention

By Catsmeow on Oct 8, 2020

This is a great whistle to get dogs' attention and stop them from doing something you don't want...like nuisance barking. You can hear it and make it louder or softer. It works even on a deaf dog that doesn't hear anything you say (or shout). It also gets my cat's attention when she is doing something she is not supposed to. Well worth it!

    English dog whistle

By Lucy on Nov 27, 2020

Your canine friend can hear this and so can you without breaking your eardrums. I have used this type of whistles for 20 years and wouldn't trade it for anything.

    Worked once...

By Tedd on Oct 24, 2020

And that was it. I only blew it when the dog was barking to try and get her attention to then say a command. She quickly ignored it. It caught her attention once and then she did not care. Waste of money and overpriced for a piece of plastic.

    Works great!

By Isaac on Sep 17, 2020

Worked great for my australian cattle mix! She responded to the sound of the whistle immediately, and was coming when called with it off-leash within a few days. Make sure you read about how to train a dog with a whistle, as it won't work immediately with all dogs.

    Not a silent dog whistle

By Leslie on Aug 27, 2020

I didn’t read the description carefully. This must be for field training; it is a shrill sounding whistle. However, my mostly-deaf dog cannot hear it.
