Works...what more do you want?

Well, it's a whistle that works. It gets her attention, but this is a training tool and not a magic wand. It's well made, however, sturdy and bright colored enough for me to find it anywhere I happen to have left it. For the price, it's great.

Good product

We bought 2 different whistles to see which would work the best. This one was good, but she responded to the other frequency somewhat better.

Acme whistle

Recall improved with first whistle. Acme 210.5 dog training whistle is a great to teach your dog recall. Would definitely recommend trying it.

Perfect for Spaniel field and hunt test training.

This is the whistle which has been recommended to me by a top Springer and English cocker Spaniel hunting trainer. It works great. Just what I needed.

Works well for my Sheltie mix!

My two dogs - a Silver Lab and a Sheltie mix - love to announce any car, person, or whatever it may be. This whistle is working well for us at the moment. It grabs their attention and then I praise them so hopefully they’ll begin to catch on to preferred behavior.

It's a whistle, but not what I wanted.

I was looking for a new recall sound, but this one was too loud and shrill for what I wanted. It is pretty well constructed and seems good as far as whistles go.

Choose another

Try another type-, but not this whistle . Price is right, & two thumbs up for Chewy...BUT whistle is weak. Pitch is high but weak; sound does not carry, & utterly no variation .

Dog Whistle

What most of the negative reviewers don’t understand is you have to train dogs to respond to cues. I bought this because my 11 month old heeler mix responds really well to whistling but I can’t whistle. I’ve been training her and my other dog to come when they hear it and it’s going very well. They were very interested the first time they heard it. I blew it the other day when my dog was rolling in something gross in the woods and she came running. It’s a great little whistle.

English dog whistle

Your canine friend can hear this and so can you without breaking your eardrums. I have used this type of whistles for 20 years and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Worked once...

And that was it. I only blew it when the dog was barking to try and get her attention to then say a command. She quickly ignored it. It caught her attention once and then she did not care. Waste of money and overpriced for a piece of plastic.
