Therefore, as a precaution, we recommend plugging in the diffuser in a different room. HAZARDS TO HUMANS: Do not plug-in the diffusers under shelves or behind doors, curtains or furniture. To function properly, the diffuser must not be obstructed in any way.

I can not recommend this enough. I have a very anxious ABD that was a rescue. I love her dearly, but when my other dog died, she became extremely anxious again, especially when being left alone. She didn't damage anything, but her anxiety became worse at all times. I used this product and the travel spray on her snuggle jacket, and all items help her immensely. She sleeps in her crate at night, right next to the diffuser, and sleeps very well until her tummy starts to growl at a very early time in the morning. 😀😇
Received the item and tried using it immediately when I got it. Smelled weird so I unplugged it and forgot about it. My dog had to have a medical procedure leaving her in a cone and tried to use it again as she seemed anxious. Smells like burning plastic within 5 minutes after plugging it in. It fills the room pretty quickly. I went to unplug it and the plastic seemed fairly hot. Giving it another chance I tried a different outlet. Same issue burning plastic smell and very hot. Wish I could’ve even tried it but couldn’t leave it plugged in long enough to find out.
Placing the CBD chews and his Thunder Buddy jacket away this defusing device has worked for the approaching mail man and passing squirrel. Normally bolting at the door for these events he now just barks once or twine and then just looks. Our latest Tropical strom did not upset him either.
Tried this product for 3 months, it didn't work for my dog. I honestly wouldn't recommend this to anyone, a total waste of money.
I do not recommend. My coonhound has mild anxiety so I thought maybe this would help. It did NOT. After a few weeks, I noticed she stopped going in the 2 device containing rooms. So, I started moving the device around the house to test if it was the device. Sure enough, everywhere I moved it, she avoided that area. I removed the devices, and a few days later, she is now coming back to the bedroom again and back to laying in her favorite spots. This did not work for us even with a dog having mild anxiety; and, I feel bad that I deprived her of her favorite spots for a month while trying this.
Didn't do anything at all for us. I had it plugged in for two weeks but now it's in the trash. Might work for someone else but didn't help my anxious dog one bit.
Recommended by vet but didn’t work for anxious dog, plus it leaked out all over the floor.
The product did not work for my dog. It didn’t calm her down at all so in my opinion, it wasn’t worth the money since it didn’t work.
Adaptil Calm Home Diffuser not working for my dog - or at least we're sure not noticing any difference. Had it for about 30 days with hopes that it would calm our puppy (10 mo. old) down and alleviate his separation anxiety, which is manifesting itself in destructive behavior. I stacked the diffuser with calming chews, both highly rated on Chewy, but am seeing NO results whatsoever. The diffuser light is on, so I know it is working, and the liquid is going down - but dog is still high-strung and suffering from just as much anxiety. I would give this ONE STAR, but am factoring in that (a) he's a puppy and (b) I put the diffuser where all evidence suggests he is spending most of his time (by his crate), but he may be spending evenings and other alone periods elsewhere in the house when not crated. The FELINE version worked well for the cats - they are much more chill and sociable. But this CANINE version is a total flop.
We have a mini long-haired Dachshund who is now nine months old. Our pup has a far more energy than expected with zoomies every night, restlessness and tough to calm down. The Adaptil difuser worked, within a day, a noticeable calming and much more manageable pup. I'm ordering the refill now.
