Adaptil Electric Dog Diffuser, Starter Kit

I have a very anxious, strung-out 16 year old terrier. She has recently decided that nighttime is when she needs to peruse about my bedroom. I was (and still am) desperate to find something to chill her out. The description says the smell of this is not detectable by humans, only to animals. I will admit that I typically have a super-sniffer but this stuff stinks. It smells like elementary school vomit in the hallway after the janitor has come by & sprinkled that pink stuff on it. If I had seen an improvement in my senior girl’s behavior, I could have dug deep & tolerated this smell. Sadly I don’t think it has made any difference in her anxiety.

We've had it plugged in for about 10 days as of this writing and unfortunately has not had the positive effect we had hoped for. Specifically, we are looking to calm our dog so she does not constantly focus on our cat. She won't let the cat out of her sight and when the cat cautiously walks past our dog, the dog jumps at the cat.

My 5 year old was experiencing anxiety through the evenings, making up between 2 and 4 am. It continued through weeks of consecutive nights. My consoling him, caressing him, etc, wasn’t working. I ordered this product, after consulting with my vet, and it works! We all are back to getting our beauty sleep and a very happy pack!

Package arrived in perfect condition. It's easy to use. We just adopted a dog who has serious separation anxiety. She's never been left home alone. Purchased this hoping it would help calm her. (We also bought baby cameras and keep an eye on her, increasing the time home alone by 5 minutes at a time.) This week was the first week that she's doing really well. She doesn't whine or pace and goes right to sleep. Unfortunately the diffuser has been empty for the week. I don't want to say that she's done better without it. There could be other variables that I'm missing. But, she is doing better without it.

My rescued dog has generalized anxiety and takes sertraline to help her function better (not being scared of the backyard and not reacting to other dogs). But she can still be high-strung at home. It's as though she doesn't trust that I love her and harasses me for attention especially when I am sitting on the couch. Her trainer recommended Adaptil and I have noticed that my dog has become more chill. When a stranger comes over, she initially barks and jumps (out of excitement, not aggression) but she is now able to calm down pretty quickly. She's also able to sit on the couch with me without harassing me. Great product. Easy to put together and plug rotates to remain upright no matter the direction of the wall outlet. Did not work for my pet but it may work for yours.

I'm not sure if they make something similar for cats and just sent the wrong thing in the right packaging... o_0 But the cats are calmer and the puppy is walking around amped up like he "needs to do something right now"! He never got like that in that area before plugging this in... O_0 I'll give it a little more time, but as for now, it's great for the cats/kittens.

Going to give it a second months try to see if it starts working not really for sure it’s doing much right now I also got the calming collars too.

We were not sure what to expect, but within less then 24 hrs, both our 3 yr old husky, and our 9 month old husky, were laying near the area of the room where the Adaptil was plugged in. They were much calmer, and our 3 yr old husky was already calm before, but this has somehow made him seem like he is calmer still. Since our 9 month old husky is still a puppy, she is still chewing on her toys and plays without laying down much...but when she is by herself she is soo much calmer in the room with the unit.

Does a great job soothing my dog when I’m gone. Before I tried Adaptil she would bark and howl the entire time I was gone and now she doesn’t. My neighbors are very grateful.
