    It Truly Works!

    I have a shih tzu/bichon mix - as he ages, his fear of noises just increases. Each storm or firework have him cowering and shaking like he’s listening to Sarah McLachlan ASPCA commercial. I asked the vet for anxiety meds, either for him or myself - I didn’t care at this point. He suggested this! I’m I have a shih tzu/bichon mix - as he ages, his fear of noises just increases. He suggested this! I’m so glad he did. I was a skeptic, truthfully. I now believe in the power of happy dog pheromones! As luck would have it, we also have a Cur who thinks any moment of separation entitles him to urinate, outside of his closed sided crate, and eat (how!?) the absorbent layer under the crate. That also has decreased. Less barking, less urinating, less anxiety manifestations! … more

    Not Effective for Noise Anxiety

    Though it sounds great, and has some good reviews, our 45 lb rescue (8 yrs old) was not helped when this was plugged in for hours, in a small room with a fan to help diffuse. T-Storms and fireworks are no less difficult for her with the unit doing its job. T-Storms and fireworks are no less difficult for her with the unit doing its job. We have fallen back on specific Rx drugs with prompt uptake and a 2 hour+ window of effectiveness (Sileo gel and buspirone), and a thunder coat for the 4th or for bigger storms. … more
