Feeding Instructions
Transition Instructions

Please remember to transition your pet's food gradually. Begin the transition by mixing their current and new food together. Decrease the amount of the current food while increasing the amount of new food over a seven-day period. By transitioning slowly, your pet will experience fewer digestive issues and better acceptance of the new food.

Why Grain-Free?

Grain and potatoes have been linked to allergies and sensitivities in dogs, so Adirondack makes their foods without them. Each balanced recipe contains unique ingredients selected for optimal nutrition as well as omega-3 fatty acids from coconut oil and flaxseed and a special probiotic blend for immune support and digestive health.

Why Grain-Free?
Real Canine Nutrition

Real Canine Nutrition

Adirondack slow cooks every recipe to bring out the best nutrition and taste their wholesome ingredients have to offer. All-natural veggies and real meat proteins, plus vitamins and minerals, provide some of the best nutrition you can find in a bag, box or can anywhere. Combine that with proven probiotics for optimal digestion and absorption and you have everything your pup needs to truly thrive.

The Slow-Cooked Difference

Cooking food at a lower temperature for a longer time enhances flavor, but did you know it also helps retain nutrition? Researchers at Kansas State University found a measurable nutritional benefit to slow cooking, which means your pup will be getting more nutrients for more stamina and energy with every delicious bite.

The Slow-Cooked Difference
Freeze-Dried Treats

Freeze-Dried Treats

Adirondack’s single ingredient, grain-free treats deliver all the meaty flavor your dog craves in every protein-packed bite. They make them by gently freeze-drying morsels of raw, natural meat to lock in freshness and flavor without preservatives, additives or anything else your dog doesn’t need.

    Small Breeds Only

    By DogLu on Apr 6, 2019 top250Contributor

Was excited to try this food for my girl, since she’s a tracking dog and needs a formula with higher protein. Great price, great ingredients, even the scent is pleasant. I was disappointed when I opened the bag to find that the kibbles are very, very small. She seems to enjoy the flavor, but it takes her forever to eat it since it gets stuck in her gums. This food would be perfect for a toy or small dog who burns lots of calories, but it’s relatively useless to those of us with dogs who are medium size and up.

    Pooch not a fan!

By Yuck on Apr 18, 2019

My Lab started out devouring this food, but about half way through the bag,he really dislikes it. We switched to this brand after having good luck with the cat food, but we will likely switch our dog back or possibly try a different variety. PS- Chewy service is awesome and gave us a full refund! Great job and thank you Kaile!

    Will buy it again

By Bexter on Jun 17, 2018

I change it up for my dogs with every bag. They liked this food and it seemed to like them. I will be buying it again. The ingredient list is a large block of color prominent on the bag and it is all good stuff.

    Has a chemical smell

By Pupmum on Feb 21, 2018

Have a GSD that won't eat it. I was trying to switch to this from Nature's Recipe since their parent company has had some issues with euthanasia drug found in their wet food. Unfortunately this isn't going to be an option. I mixed some with the Nature's recipe and the dog won't eat any of it. Smelled the kibble in the bag and can understand why. It doesn't have a good smell for a human let alone a dog. There is a strong chemical smell to it. Glad I only bought 5 pound bag.
