Free feeding is widely used and recommended for puppies. If free feeding is not your desired feeding choice, here is a set of suggestions. These are quantity suggestions: the amount you feed your pet can vary, depending greatly upon the breed, activity level, metabolism and your preferences.

Why Grain-Free?

Grain and potatoes have been linked to allergies and sensitivities in dogs, so Adirondack makes their foods without them. Each balanced recipe contains unique ingredients selected for optimal nutrition as well as omega-3 fatty acids from coconut oil and flaxseed and a special probiotic blend for immune support and digestive health.

Why Grain-Free?
Real Canine Nutrition

Real Canine Nutrition

Adirondack slow cooks every recipe to bring out the best nutrition and taste their wholesome ingredients have to offer. All-natural veggies and real meat proteins, plus vitamins and minerals, provide some of the best nutrition you can find in a bag, box or can anywhere. Combine that with proven probiotics for optimal digestion and absorption and you have everything your pup needs to truly thrive.

The Slow-Cooked Difference

Cooking food at a lower temperature for a longer time enhances flavor, but did you know it also helps retain nutrition? Researchers at Kansas State University found a measurable nutritional benefit to slow cooking, which means your pup will be getting more nutrients for more stamina and energy with every delicious bite.

The Slow-Cooked Difference
Freeze-Dried Treats

Freeze-Dried Treats

Adirondack’s single ingredient, grain-free treats deliver all the meaty flavor your dog craves in every protein-packed bite. They make them by gently freeze-drying morsels of raw, natural meat to lock in freshness and flavor without preservatives, additives or anything else your dog doesn’t need.

    Senior dog

    By on

I am not a review writer but when My 15.5 year old super active pitbull mix started to lose weight and i was desperate for a solution. Based off the fat content I started to add this food along with "Buddy and Lola weight gainer" to his diet and have seen amazing results. He is now back at a healthy weight and i did not have to add any junk to his diet. He has a super sensitive GI system but does well on this food. Highly recommend!

    Love, but they run out

    By on

Love this food because it actually keeps good weight on my working dogs in the summer. Only drawback, and chewy has zero control over this, is that Adirondack manufacturing can't seem to keep up with the demand. This is the 2nd time in less than a year that the 30 pound bags have gone out of stock..... And last time, they were out for months. I'd really like to feed my working dogs this as a sole diet, but with the spotty availability, I have to buy other foods as a primary and just buy bags of this to keep in stock for an emergency.

    Great product, but...

    By on

I love a lot about this. Quality ingredients without a bunch of unnecessary stuff. My picky pup actually wanted to eat it, watch was important since he was a bit underweight when I brought him home. I also started our senior dog on it, as he'd been losing weight. My only complaints are that the kibble is TINY. Great for a brand new pup, or a small breed, but my German Shepherd pup at 4 mo doesn't even need to chew these. Other issue is that I wish they offered a different protein for pups. My guy doesn't do well on chicken.

Great but my dogs prefer fish flavors

    By on

I was looking for a high protein high calorie food for my lactating husky. My dogs at first were excited but then showed a clear preference for fish flavors (different brand), so I just mixed this food in with a salmon flavored food to use up. No GI problems, so I am giving this a good rating. The kibble is very small and my dogs seem to prefer larger kibble size. I might try this food again in the future.

    Standard poodle approved

    By on

My 5-month old standard poodle puppy is a picky eater. I tried Wellness Core and Wellness Complete and he would eat them for the first 1/3 of the bag, but would only eat the rest with chicken broth. I bought this food as an experiment since it's cheaper and comes in a smaller bag. He inhales it! Vet said he was a bit too skinny and this food helped him put on some weight. I'll be buying again!

    Dry puppy food

    By on

This is a small kibble puppy food and after its moistened the puppies eat it and seemed to like the taste and they have smaller bowel movements. If it did not have such a odor would be better. I would buy this again because it is a good quality puppy food.

    Pup approved!

I have been feeding this to my girl for a few months now and she really likes it! It seems to give her good energy and her stools are great on this food. She is always excited to eat and never snubs her nose at this kibble. It's a Win!

    German Shepherd puppy loves it!

    By on

My little Archer loves this food, he never really got overly excited about chow time, but he goes crazy knowing that he has this in his bowl! I am happy with it as the ingredients are great for large breed dogs and he can stay on it through adult hood. His coat is beautiful and shiny and he is doing great on this food.

    awesome food!

    By on

My dogs were having upset stomachs on their current food so I switched to Adirondack and within 1 week my dogs had solid stool and their coat looked nicer not to mention they love the taste. I raise Australian Cattle dogs which are very active this food works great for my puppies and active adults
