Most Helpful Critical Review
Read All 5 Critical ReviewsPup wouldn’t eat for days after trying this

I have an ~45lb pit-mix and my vet wanted her to put on a bit more weight. I wanted to try this food because of the high levels of protein. I was surprised to see the size of the kibble was TINY - so automatically I would not recommend this for medium-large dogs. Helped my pup gain weight!
By Stacy on Aug 25, 2020
My lil guy Bodhi is a very active 6mo old chocolate lab mix. He was having trouble not getting enough calories to put on weight due to being so active. My vet suggested a high calorie/ active dog food.....for a puppy! I searched many nights online and kept coming across Adirondack. So we tried it, within a week a could see a difference in his appearance! We are about 2 months in and he is thriving! Growing like a weed and still a super active pup. This food also regulates his poops! Before, they were very inconsistent in texture. Highly recommend this food!

Senior dog

I am not a review writer but when My 15.5 year old super active pitbull mix started to lose weight and i was desperate for a solution. Based off the fat content I started to add this food along with "Buddy and Lola weight gainer" to his diet and have seen amazing results. He is now back at a healthy weight and i did not have to add any junk to his diet. He has a super sensitive GI system but does well on this food. Highly recommend!

Pup approved!
By MindyLoo on Jan 30, 2020
I have been feeding this to my girl for a few months now and she really likes it! It seems to give her good energy and her stools are great on this food. She is always excited to eat and never snubs her nose at this kibble. It's a Win!

Dry puppy food
By Patty on Jan 25, 2020
This is a small kibble puppy food and after its moistened the puppies eat it and seemed to like the taste and they have smaller bowel movements. If it did not have such a odor would be better. I would buy this again because it is a good quality puppy food.

Love, but they run out
By Jennifer on Jan 24, 2020
Love this food because it actually keeps good weight on my working dogs in the summer. Only drawback, and chewy has zero control over this, is that Adirondack manufacturing can't seem to keep up with the demand. This is the 2nd time in less than a year that the 30 pound bags have gone out of stock..... And last time, they were out for months. I'd really like to feed my working dogs this as a sole diet, but with the spotty availability, I have to buy other foods as a primary and just buy bags of this to keep in stock for an emergency.

Great but my dogs prefer fish flavors
By ThreeHuskies on Jan 12, 2020
I was looking for a high protein high calorie food for my lactating husky. My dogs at first were excited but then showed a clear preference for fish flavors (different brand), so I just mixed this food in with a salmon flavored food to use up. No GI problems, so I am giving this a good rating. The kibble is very small and my dogs seem to prefer larger kibble size. I might try this food again in the future.
