Every dog is unique. Feeding requirements vary based on breed, age, environment, and activity level. Use our feeding guide and adjust as needed. To determine meal portion sizes, divide the total amount suggested per day by the number of daily feedings. Always supply fresh, clean water for your pets. These are quantity suggestions. The amount you feed your pet can vary, depending greatly upon the breed, activity level, metabolism, and your preferences.
Please remember to transition your pet's food gradually. Begin the transition by mixing their current and new food together. Decrease the amount of the current food while increasing the amount of new food over a seven-day period. By transitioning slowly, your pet will experience fewer digestive issues and better acceptance of the new food.
I search dog food ingredients to the point of insanity because one of my two dogs has allergic reactions to so many ingredients. They mainly eat pork, so I thought I would try this one. Unfortunately, one of my two had a systemic Allergic reaction to this formula. I imagine it is the legumes and peas Since they eat pork. I had to discontinue and try another dog food brand. However, they did like this food.
Lightening-speed delivery! It was here so fast that I got the “It’s on its way” email after it was delivered. I had just ordered auto-ship and had to check to see if there was another one coming by mistake. One of my dogs is allergic to many ingredients in regular dog food and has expensive vet bill reactions to them. This dog food is the only one I have found that she can eat and it’s hard to find. So glad Chewy has it!
I was looking for a lower fat food for one of my dogs who had some very off numbers with bloodwork. In the past, low fat foods have not worked as well for Kayleigh given they tend to turn her into a skeletal girly due to having lower protein and lower calorie counts too. This one is different. You've got the more moderate protein level with what I would call a regular calorie count per cup. The only thing about this that is similar to so many weight management foods is the fat content. I saw it was low and went, "Perfect!" She doesn't need to lose weight. we just need some labs to normalize. She is maintaining her current weight just fine. I still have to get her blood taken again whenever I can get to the vet, but so far so good. I am considering switching the majority of the dogs to this food once I run out of what they are eating. The price is decent, and I've always found that my girls do better with a pork-based kibble. Their last one was discontinued by the manufacturer without warning which meant a sudden switch to another protein. It's okay , but I think this would even work better. Kayleigh certainly loves it and gobbles it up fast.
