Description

Help protect your canine companion and your home from parasitic pests with Advantage Flea & Tick Treatment Spray for Dogs. Designed to aid in the control of flea bite dermatitis, this EPA-regulated spray works to kill and repel fleas, flea eggs, flea larvae, ticks and lice on contact. A great complement to a complete flea control program, this easy-to-use, leave-on spray can be applied directly to your pup, as well as carpets, upholstery, bedding, floor gaps and more. Its highly-effective combination of ingredients includes an insect growth regulator to stop the flea life cycle in its tracks, and keep them from ever reaching the biting stage. One powerful application lasts up to 100 days, and it’s safe to use on dogs over 6 months of age.

  • Can be sprayed directly on your pooch, as well as carpets, upholstery, bedding, floor gaps and more.
  • Contains an insect growth regulator to break the flea life cycle and prevent them from reaching the biting stage.
  • Highly-effective formula last for up to 100 days and is safe for use on puppies and dogs over 6 months of age.
  • Whisper-quiet spray can will continue to dispense even when can is held upside down, making it easy to treat hard-to-reach places.
Precautions

Avoid contact with genitalia. Repeat as required, but not more often than once every 7 days. ALWAYS read the entire product label prior to use. For indoor use only. Not for use in outdoor residential misting systems or outdoor metered release systems. DO NOT TREAT DOGS UNDER 6 MONTHS OF AGE. Do not use in aircraft cabins. Do not wet articles to point of runoff or drip. Do not use treated article until spray has dried. Application of this product is prohibited directly into sewers or drains, or to any area like a gutter where drainage to storm sewers, storm drains, water bodies, or aquatic habitat can occur. Do not allow this product to enter any drain during or after application.

Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

Instructions

For Dogs

Cover animal's eyes with a hand. Do not spray directly on mouth, nose, or eyes. Spray head, ears, and chest until damp. With fingertips, rub into face and around mouth, nose, and eyes. Then spray from neck to tail, finishing legs last. For best penetration of spray to skin and on heavy-coated animals, direct spray against the natural lay of the hair, spraying the ruffled hair directly behind your hand. Make sure the spray thoroughly wets ticks. When used on miniature or toy breeds of dogs, towel-dry the animal after ½ hour if not totally dry. Avoid contact with genitalia. Repeat as required, but not more often than once every 7 days (1 week).

For Puppies Over 6 Months

Wrap the animal in a towel that has been sprayed lightly with this product. Leave eyes, nose, and mouth exposed. Put some spray on the finger and gently rub around eyes, nose, and mouth area. Keep animal wrapped for 5-10 minutes. Fleas may then be removed from the coat by picking or combing. For best results, all dogs should be treated with a similar flea control product such as Advantage Treatment Spray for Dogs to prevent reinfestation. Do not spray directly on puppies. Avoid contact with genitalia. Repeat as required, but not more often than once every 14 days (2 weeks).

    Crappy product!

    By on

I never got to test the spray itself because the nozzle wouldn't work. I pushed the trigger and all it did was release air pressure, no solution. So I pressed it a few more times thinking the solution needed to just work it's way through. Nope. It suddenly just stopped. No release of even air. I tried a couple more times and the nozzle snapped. So now I have a bottle full of solution with no way to use it. A waste of money!

Wonder spray that requires no Rx

    By on

I was reluctant on buying this product even though I read good reviews. I was bitten by a tick therefore, knowing that it must have come from my little maltese and that he needed to be treated. It worked wonders and I am so pleased with ridding the tick issue. Will definitely keep supply in my dog's cabinet.

    Works but doesn’t last

    By on

It definitely works but you have to spray it really often ...so even though it’s cheaper than the flea and tick collars you’ll eventually end up spending more money on this product because this bottle doesn’t last long.

    Pretty good

    By on

This is good for what it says. Its like a 24hr prevention. If I know my dog is going to the dog park or in a tick dense area I spray her down and brush this through her fur. It does help! Gives me a little peace of mind.

    Works In Seconds!!

    By on

I got this product and did not know what to expect. When I used it I was AMAZED at what it did. The fleas died instantly and just fell off of my dog. It's great to use if you need to kill fleas fast. The only bad thing about this product is it smells horrible. Use in an open space with good ventilation....open windows and wear a mask.... that's how bad it smells!! Aside from the smell it worked great and I even used it on my carpet.

I can't say it keeps fleas off because it doesn't. The fleas are still jumping on my dogs.

    WORKED FOR FANCY

    By on

This is the first time we have ever had to deal with fleas but this spray does work on contact. Of course, if your dog visits the area where he/she is getting the fleas, naturally they are going to pick up some more. But we are happy with it so far.
