Description

Help protect your favorite feline and your home from parasitic pests with Advantage Flea & Tick Treatment Spray for Cats. Designed to aid in the control of flea bite dermatitis, this EPA-regulated spray works to kill and repel fleas, flea eggs, flea larvae, ticks and lice on contact. A great complement to a complete flea control program, this easy-to-use, leave-on spray can be applied directly to your pet, as well as carpets, upholstery, bedding, floor gaps and more. Its highly-effective combination of ingredients includes an insect growth regulator to stop the flea life cycle in its tracks, and keep them from ever reaching the biting stage. One powerful application lasts up to 100 days, and it’s safe to use on cats over 7 months of age.

Key Benefits
  • Aids in the control of flea bite dermatitis by killing fleas, flea eggs, flea larvae, ticks and lice on contact.
  • Can be sprayed directly on your pet, as well as carpets, upholstery, bedding, floor gaps and more.
  • Contains an insect growth regulator to break the flea life cycle and prevent them from reaching the biting stage.
  • Highly-effective formula last for up to 100 days and is safe for use on cats and kittens over 7 months of age.
  • Whisper-quiet spray can will continue to dispense even when can is held upside down, making it easy to treat hard-to-reach places.
Precautions

Avoid contact with genitalia. Repeat as required, but not more often than once every 7 days. ALWAYS read the entire product label prior to use. For indoor use only. Not for use in outdoor residential misting systems or outdoor metered release systems. DO NOT TREAT CATS UNDER 7 MONTHS OF AGE. Do not use in aircraft cabins. Do not wet articles to point of runoff or drip. Do not use treated article until spray has dried. Application of this product is prohibited directly into sewers or drains, or to any area like a gutter where drainage to storm sewers, storm drains, water bodies, or aquatic habitat can occur. Do not allow this product to enter any drain during or after application.

Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

Instructions

For Cats

Cover animal's eyes with a hand. Do not spray directly on mouth, nose, or eyes. Spray head, ears, and chest until damp. With fingertips, rub into face and around mouth, nose, and eyes. Then spray from neck to tail, finishing legs last. For best penetration of spray to skin and on heavy-coated animals, direct spray against the natural lay of the hair, spraying the ruffled hair directly behind your hand. Make sure the spray thoroughly wets ticks. When used on cats, towel-dry the animal after ½ hour if not totally dry. Avoid contact with genitalia. Repeat as required, but not more often than once every 7 days (1 week).

For Kittens Over 7 Months

Wrap the animal in a towel that has been sprayed lightly with this product. Leave eyes, nose, and mouth exposed. Put some spray on the finger and gently rub around eyes, nose, and mouth area. Keep animal wrapped for 5-10 minutes. Fleas may then be removed from the coat by picking or combing. For best results, all cats should be treated with a similar flea control product such as Advantage Treatment Spray for Cats to prevent reinfestation. Do not spray directly on kittens. Avoid contact with genitalia. Repeat as required, but not more often than once every 14 days (2 weeks).

    It’s pretty good

    By on

It’s effective. I bathed my cat and let him dry before spraying him, and whatever his flea shampoo didn’t do, this did. He only had a few fleas left, and this made them jump off and go elsewhere. I’m buying multiple cans now.

I love this product. It was so much cheaper then buying flea drops from my vet. Like how the trigger is quite. I'm a fan of but my cats not much. I would buy this item again.

    Quick Heads Up

    By on

This product works but the downside is you have to spray your ENTIRE cat! I used this spray and did not get his paws or tail and I found more fleas on him the next day!!

    Great for upholstery

    By on

I would not use this on my cats personally. It makes a noise that scares them and sprays a cloud. However I would definitely recommend using this on upholstery and other non washable items. I used it on my outdoor patio cushions, cat trees and bedding. Works great easy application and quick dry time.

    good product

    By on

The spray killed the fleas immediately which is good. The smell of the spray is so strong that I was so skeptical of spraying it directly on my cats ( even though the label says it’s ok to do so ). I was also concerned about them grooming themselves after applying the spray. Make sure to wear a mask over your nose/ mouth and have the windows open

    HORRIBLE!!

    By on

This is a high powered spray so to treat your cat would be a nightmare! Secondly it has to be almost 100% alcohol! We had to leave the room with the cats when we sprayed it, it is that strong!! It is awful lethal stuff..DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT !!!

    Stinky spray

    By on

I have purchased this product in non-aerosol form. This one smelled like a mix of kerosene and gasoline. All my cats ran away and hid after the first of them got sprayed. The one that did get sprayed did not get any relief from the few fleas that were bugging him. If anything he got more. Didn't like it at all.
