Uses
Advantage Multi for Cats is indicated for the prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria Immitis in cats. Advantage Multi for Cats kills adult fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) and is indicated for the treatment of flea infestations.
Possible Side Effects
Contact your veterinarian if your pet experiences pruritus/scratching, scabbing, redness, wounds and inflammation at the treatment site; lethargy; and chemical odor.

Precautions
Do not dispense dose applicator tubes without complete safety and administration information. Avoid oral ingestion. Cats may experience hypersalivation, tremors, vomiting and decreased appetite if Advantage Multi for Cats is inadvertently administered orally or through grooming/licking of the application site. The safety of Advantage Multi for Cats has not been established in breeding, pregnant, or lactating cats. The effectiveness of Advantage Multi for Cats against heartworm infections (D. immitis) after bathing has not been evaluated in cats. Use of this product in geriatric pets with subclinical conditions has not been adequately studied. Several otherwise healthy, thin geriatric cats experienced prolonged lethargy and sleepiness after using this drug.

The recommended minimum dose is 4.5 mg/lb (10.0 mg/kg) imidacloprid and 0.45 mg/lb (1.0 mg/kg) moxidectin, once a month, by topical administration.

How do I apply Advantage Multi for Cats?
Do not apply to irritated skin.
- Remove one dose applicator tube from the package.
- While holding the tube in an upright position, remove the cap from the tube.
- Turn the cap over and push the other end of the cap onto the tip of the tube.
- Twist the cap to break the seal and then remove cap from the tube.
- Part the hair on the back of the cat's neck at the base of the head, until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the tube on the skin and apply the entire contents directly on the exposed skin. Lift the tube away from skin before releasing pressure on the tube.
Do not get this product in the cat's mouth or eyes or allow the cat to lick the application site for 30 minutes. Treatment at the base of the head will minimize the opportunity for ingestion by grooming.

Advantage Multi for Cats can be used on cats at least 9 weeks old, weighing at least 2 pounds. The small cat size (5.1-9 lbs.) can be used for ferrets that weigh at least 2 pounds.

Does not work for one of my cats
My cat has been dealing with fleas since august I have three and one had a reaction to revolution so we went back to advantage multi The fleas are supposed to fall off though this product doesnt kill Eggs and larva The price you pay for your cat not getting bit Well even a vet tech couldnt get this to work for my cat I thought I was doing something wrong because the fleas arent falling off and my cat keeps getting bit It has worked for us in the past Not sure why it doesnt any longer He will have to go back to revolution at least the fleas die after biting and it kills larva and eggs He cant keep suffering like thistles Too much money for an inconsistent product
Great product
I haven't used the solution for the full 6 months yet, but it has worked quite well. I wish there was a way for me to administer the medication in full on my cat's neck without it spilling down her fur.
Not as effective as I expected
Chewy very promptly worked with my vet for the prescription and no concerns with shipping; however, the product is not as effective as I expected for the price. 2nd application with about the same results as the first. She still scratches around her head and neck and we continue to find some live fleas on her. We only have the 1 indoor only cat (which we had for 2 years with no prior issues) so dumbfounded as to how she recently got fleas. Unfortunately, this product doesn't really seem to be helping. We'll continue with daily house vacuuming and frequent washing of bedding, until the medicine is done as I think it's better than a flea collar and not repurchase.

This flea medicine didn’t work great for met
I recently purchased Advantage Multi Topical solution for my 17lb cat. We have been dealing with his first flea infestation in his 7 years of life. Unfortunately it was not strong enough to handle the problem and we had to switch to a stronger RX flea medication. I will try again next season before it gets out of hand again.
Won't take returns
The fact you will not take returns on this product is why I now buy all my pet items from another source. I ordered the wrong product. You don't carry the product I need. I spent over $1000 so far on pet products this year and now you have lost that business.

Works for fleas, etc
This product works as far as keeping the critters off my kitties. However, our smaller cat still scratches frequently, which didn’t happen with Revolution (or Plus,) so I may have to switch back to that for her. I’m not sure if this irritates her skin or if it doesn’t work as fast. I’ll ask the vet that recommended it soon.

I have used Revolution for many years but due to whatever reason it was unavailable. My vet recommended A. M. for cats. I have used it for years on my dogs but never tried it for my cat. It met all my expectations and then some. I would highly recommend it for your cats as well.
