Description

Make mealtime fun and engaging with the Aikiou Interactive Dog Bowl. This unique feeder is a contemporary twist on the traditional slow-feed dog bowl that requires your pup to forage for his food–just as he would in nature–by spinning the rotating lid and sliding the “toecaps” to reveal the hidden paw-kets of delicious food. In addition to slowing down his food intake to help prevent bloat and maintain a healthy weight, the mental stimulation also reduces boredom and anxiety while increasing physical activity and problem-solving skills. It’s made with food-grade, BPA-free plastic and is dishwasher-safe for easy care and sanitation.

Key Benefits
  • Unique, innovative bowl makes mealtime fun and engaging by simulating natural foraging behavior.
  • Small, confined spaces require your pup to use his tongue and muzzle to reach the food, slowing his intake to help prevent bloat and maintain healthy weight.
  • Provides mental stimulation to help reduce boredom and anxiety while increasing physical activity.
  • Made from food-grade, BPA-free polypropylene plastic; dishwasher-safe for easy care and sanitation.
  • Available in three fun colors and recommended for toy and small breeds; holds up to 1/2 cup of food.

†Capacity is calculated by total volume. When using container, choose a capacity greater than what you need to prevent overfilling and spills.

Instructions
  • Contains several compartments and parts that allow your dog to play and seek his food while interacting with his bowl and food. This allows your dog to express his or her natural search for food needs.
  • You just need to hide the food in the 14 different compartments. your dog will need to use his paws in order to “dig” to find the hidden food. This will slow your dogs eating speed and have him “work” for his food. This makes lunch time much more fun for him.
  • Using treats to block the carousel, your dog need to remove the treats to let it turn. Also, a unique system lets you adjust the movement of the toecaps by just removing and rotating them.

    Best Weight Loss

By JenSammy on Jun 1, 2019

I’ve have had trouble with controlling my Beagle mix’s weight for years. I’ve tried slow feeders, different foods, and different food amounts; nothing helped. Until I found this bowl at a theft store. My dog lost four pounds! I’ve bought three more of these as gifts for friends who have gotten puppies

    It's great!

By Meghan on Apr 4, 2019

I have a Husky that needed more mental exercise and stimulation. I like this one because it doesn't go anywhere. It sits on the carpet and he just fiddles with it. I don't have to make sure it doesn't get caught underneath the couch like some of the balls on here.

Still learning....but its keeping her away from chewing our charging cords!

By MollyPie on Dec 4, 2018

In the last year Molly has "eaten" a dozen cell phone charging cords, 3 sets of ear buds & 4 (yes, FOUR!) pairs of glasses! Our vet said she needed something to stimulate her mind & recommended this. It worked! For the cords at least. We still keep our glasses hidden now (expensive lesson for us humans!). She learned the "fingers" part fairly quickly. Still a little confused about the rotating section though. But that's good. Keeps her occupied while I'm at work. We put her mini-peanut butter Milk Bones in it.

    Good concept, product needs improvement

By Mary on Dec 7, 2018

Not for flat-faced dogs or dogs with short snouts. I bought two feeders, one for each of my small dogs. A shallower feeder would be better for them. I would like rubber pieces or softer edges on the parts the dog has to move with his snout to get the food. Requires a lot of space for your dog to move around to get food out of this feeder.

Fun to watch; loud to listen to

By DogMama on Oct 31, 2018

I'm not sure if our puppy finds this fun or frustrating. Either way, it slows down her eating which was the goal. The only negative is that it is very loud as she tries to maneuver the green parts. I was concerned about washing it but it must have some anti-slime coating on it because it is easier to clean than other dog dishes! One more thing, it was advertised for small dogs, claiming it only held 1/2 cup of food. I figured she would just get to play more than once with it at each meal. However, this holds her 1.25 cups with no problem and room for more!

    Great and easy to learn!

By Jackie on Sep 22, 2018

My dog learned this feeder very quickly but still slows down his eating and makes him think as intended. The maker’s website also has variations on how to make it more difficult so I have employed those to keep him on his toes. Easy to clean as well. Word of caution, I would hold it down the first time your pet uses it to ensure they don’t just flip it upside down.

    It works well enough

By EmAZ on Sep 25, 2018

I bought this as a new feeder option for our dog. She scarfs her food so I’m trying to find ways to slow her down. This feeder is huge! At least 1ftx1ft. She slides the paw pieces open pretty easily but the circular piece gets stuck pretty often. Overall, it’s just okay.

    Too difficult

By April on Oct 27, 2018

My dog enjoys toys that she has to work for her food. This one is too difficult for her. She ends up ripping the top off to get her food

    Feeding Frenzy

    By Sue60 on Sep 7, 2018

I love this item and so do my puppies. When I let the puppies out it was like a feeding frenzy. It was extremely interesting to see who figured it out first.
