is the wire grate on the bottom removable?

How many Guinea Pigs would be happy living in this?
Answer by ChewyOct 27, 2021
This rabbit cage can fit 1-3 guinea pigs.

Is this ok for Guinea pigs to stand in the wire floor or is it not safe for Guinea pigs? We have 2 and this would be perfect and especially with the easy cleaning option. Just didn’t know if their feet/paws could hurt or fall through?
Answer by ChewyDec 15, 2021
This cage is safe for use with guinea pigs.

Bar spacing on this? 3/4” 1”? Anyone know?
Answer by ChewyJan 04, 2022
The wire mesh openings measure 3.5 inches long x 0.59 inches wide.

2 weeks review

I recieved the product and assembled it exactly 2 weeks ago today. It was easy to assemble. The wood is really soft/lightweight and a couple pieces came cracked, nothing crazy that affected the integrity of the structure. It looks very nice once put together, functional space for the rabbit. Again, my only dislike is the frailty of the wood, its been 2 weeks and the rabbit has already chewed apart all the wood finishes, makes me question the longevity I tried to include pictures but it said the image was to large? ...also, the removable pans are difficult to slide in and out since there is no track. Overall it's nice looking, rabbits enjoy all the space, but easily destroyed.

Don't buy this cage

I am extremely sorry that I blew $200 on this cage. The ramp between the upper and lower floors is much too steep for my guinea pigs, and this cage is too small for any but the tiniest rabbits. It went together reasonably well, but my pigs chewed out the second they got into it, so I can't even return the darn thing.

Rabbits Hutch

It’s a nice hutch in looks. As seen in other reviews the top tray has no catch so your poor bunny is still sitting and lying in it’s poop and pee. Not to mention the price paid just for the wood to be able to be chewed through in less than a week.

Look Carefully

This is a pretty amazing hutch with nearly every detail perfect. That being said, it wasn't until I had the unit completed that I noticed one glaring detail, it doesn't have a floor for the upper unit!!! When your animal is on the top level they will be walking and climbing around in the catch tray which at the same time will be full of you know what unless you train your animal to do number 1 and 2 on the bottom level. Not only that but the tray that they are now living in is made of plastic and slippery and the divider wall for the top just hangs there in the air. This is a pretty great hutch before you realize the magnitude of this flaw. They have a floor on the bottom level, explain that!!! Not worth the money we paid for it.

Rabbit cage

I’m sorry, but do not get this. They just chew it right up. So many chewing sticks and they choose the cage. Also it does not have a metal thing over the tray on the top part.

Thumper's new abode

Our rabbit loves his new home. He likes hopping up and down the different levels. It's so easy to keep clean.
