Drug & Food Interactions

Albon (sulfadimethoxine) is not effective in viral or rickettsial infections, and as with any antibacterial agent, occasional failures in therapy may occur due to resistant microorganisms. Before giving Albon Tabs, tell your veterinarian if your pet is taking aspirin, probenecid, phenytoin, warfarin, phenylbutazone, thiazide diuretics or methotrexate.

During the treatment period, make sure that pets maintain adequate water intake. If animals show no improvement within 2 or 3 days, reevaluate your diagnosis. Albon should not be used in dogs or cats with marked liver damage, blood dyscrasias, or in those with a history of sulfonamide hypersensitivity.

    good service, great product

By MaryB on Jul 10, 2020

This is the first pharmacy item I purchased through Chewy. My veterinarian had to contact them twice, but after that I received the pills quickly. This was still quicker than my vet's huge hospital, which is crazy busy and super slow at filling prescriptions at this challenging time. The pills are a nice small size, scored, and easy to break. Chewy's phone reps are always super nice and efficient.

Not sure if this product was successful, as our pet had other more serious issues. The customer service at Chewy is the best. Would recommend ordering from Chewy.
