    Dogs won't eat them

    By on

They were suggested for my 13 y/o Blk lab/Corgi mix. She took one, spit it out and turns her head when they are offered to her. Out of six dogs, 4 are seniors and only one will eat them. I'll opt for the pills next time as these are expensive and the dogs won't eat them.

    Might work well--poor taste

    By on

I have used Alenza here and there over the past 4ish years, and my dogs used to eat the chews no problem. However, the previous 2 bags I received have apparently tasted awful as neither of my dogs will eat them unless I coat them in peanut butter. I hate to have to do that since they are effective when used consistently, and they are definitely expensive.... will I purchase again? Likely not unless the flavor changes.

    great product

    By on

My Pitbull turned 11yrs old at Christmas. He runs & jumps like a monkey. But I’ve noticed a couple times he walked sorta stiff legged. Sometimes when we are waking up he needs me to hep him stand up. My vet gave me several packet samples to try. It’s working great!!! Only been on it for 3weeks & he’s back to his old self. He’s been on CosequinDS for years. He got hip dysplasia early on. He’s also my RESA. He pulls me in my wheelchair at the mall & pulls my walker once a month when I see my dr. He is an amazing baby!!!! Loves everyone! And I can’t stand to see him in pain. Thanks for making this product BAYER. It’s pricy but never tooooo high for my baby. Thx!!

    Recommended by our vet

My whippet loves the taste of these chews! our vet recommended these chews to help with bone break recovery and with the aging process. The bag is much cheaper on chewy than at the vet's office. I don't know if they are helping or not, but at least my dog likes them!

    Great product but...

    By on

I have a very picky eater English Mastiff who is 5 years old. She had some joint issues last year and my vet recommended Alenza soft chews. I just add it to her meals twice a day, she has had no problem taking them and it has definitely helped her joints. Only negative comment is Chewy has been shipping almost expired (3 months to expiration date) packs to us, they were harder and not as fresh, I am not happy about this since this is an expensive product.

    Best Arthritus supplement out there

    By on

My poor girl has been dealing with arthritus for the past few years. (She is now 13 years old). I'd been giving her other "highly rated" supplements. Then about 6 months ago, she could hardly get up. She started yelping whenever she tried to roll over. I took her to the vet and he said her arthritus is just that bad and recomended that I try these chews. They are pricy! But within 2 weeks, she was feeling MUCH better and back to moving around without painful yelps. She's not the young pup that she once was, but she's not in the terrible pain that she was in either. In my book, it has been worth the cost. If Alenza had not helped her out, I'm not sure she would have lasted much longer My poor girl has been dealing with arthritus for the past few years. Helped my 13 year old Buddee

    By on

If you have a dog that is aging and has any kind of visible aches and pains these chews work great! My dog is almost 14 years old and he is getting arthritis in his hips bad, it was very difficult for him to jump into the truck or get up and down stairs and also simply to lay down. After about 30 days of taking one chew per day I noticed he was moving better and could fetch longer than previous weeks. He may not be a puppy again but the chews have definitely made him act years younger! I highly recommend this product.

Hope it does work for my dog, but he HATES the taste

    By on

My dog is Samoyed + wolf mix going 13 years old and weigh about 70lb. He's now having arthritis pains in his hip and joints that limit his daily life. My vet recommended Alenza, so just started yesterday (I started with 1/2 chew to make sure he's OK with it). He HATES the taste, so even if I cut it small and use peanuts butter or cheese, he would spit out. I wish it comes with pill form.... Palatable doesn't mean all the dogs like it, specially if you have a picky dog or a dog who's sensitive to synthetic taste, such as mine. I will try for another 2 weeks to see if it actually works for him, otherwise it's not worth it.

    So far so good

    By on

We received a sample of them when we participated in the arthritis run and gave to our girl while on vacation. Her joints don't pop as often and she doesnt seem to have issues with her arthritis in her knees. Going to keep using to them for her joint health plus she thinks they are a treat because of the bacon and chicken flavor.
