Feed your small furry friend a diet you both can feel good about with Alfalfa King’s Double Compressed Oat Wheat Barley Hay! This 100% natural hay is grown in Nevada and it’s packaged in the USA, too. It’s double compressed, which means it helps to hold the leaf better and the packaging has a unique UV barrier to help keep the oat wheat barley hay nice and green. Your little one is going to love this diet straight from nature that provides an optimum length of fiber!
This hay holds the leaf thanks to the double compression.
Made from 100% natural oat wheat barley hay.
The package is designed with a UV barrier to help keep the hay green.
There is the occasional lump of dirty root stuff in the bag. Seems to bring out the wild beast in the bunnies (though I remove the dirt!), they can imagine they are really in the field! The guinea pigs also go wild for this, they eat it all down with no leftovers. I use it as part of the rotation of hays, a different one for breakfast and dinner, etc. to keep things exciting.

I purchased this for our Guinea pig. She would not eat it at all because it consisted mostly of stalks. I thought the combination of seeds would be appetizing to her, but she would not eat any of it. I tried to get enough of the oat and barley out of it so it would not be a total waste of money, but it was all like third cutting. No seeds at all.

Thought I would try this brand, (NOT good ) one big glob of dirt & roots in the middle of the bag , lots of wide straw looking stuff , piggies don't like. Will definitely stay with OXBOW !!
More like bedding hay

This was a bad purchase. None of my 13 rabbits liked this hay which was not much better than straw. I have Lops, Rexs and lionhead rabbits. None of them ate it. I will stick to my First cut Timothy hay, orchid and oat hay.

My bunnies are incredibly picky and will only eat oxbow or standlee orchard hay! My bunnies immediately went for this hay! It is thicker than any hay I’ve ever bought, not dusty, and in my opinion far superior to Oxbow! It was actually easy to separate the bale. I only got this because I ran out and it was less expensive than oxbow. I only got a 10 lb bag but the 50 lb will definitely come in handy for all my rabbits!
bunnies love it!

We usually get oxbow hay but I saw this was really cheap and decided to try it out. Literally it was an instant hit they’ve been eating SO MUCH HAY! The difference between oxbow and this hay is this hay is much thicker/coarser and lighter in color. It’s also more dusty than oxbow. As an owner though my complaints are that it’s very dusty and super hard to separate the hay out (I had to get in there with a hammer. But if my bunnies continue to scarf it down as they have been I will definitely be buying this again over oxbow
Picky Buns Love It

This is the best looking hay I've seen in a long time. It's super green and sweet smelling. I have a few buns who are difficult when it comes to eating hay, but everyone loves this hay. My little lady who never wants hay dances beside me in the pen when she sees me pulling this out. Unlike the other review I don't have any hard stems nor did I get splinters. It seems likely that this hay is like every other hay in that you risk getting a bad batch once in awhile. The only reason I deducted a star is that it's pretty darn dusty. Be smarter than me and open it / move it into a new container outside!
Best Oat Hay ever!

After trying the other brand names hay this is by far the best we've seen. Nice green leafy rather than yellow straw sticks. My bunnies love it so we will continue on our autoship as long as product stays the same.
Probably the worst hay I've ever bought

Despite it supposedly being a mixed bale its almost entirely thick tough stems with seemingly no variety. It gave me a ton of splinters the first time I went to grab a flake. I've never had hay give me splinters before. While I have 2 picky rabbits I've never had all 10 refuse to eat something before. I only got this because the Standlee Timothy seems to no longer be available. I would not recommend this hay.
