what size do I get/ Do I measure my cat's neck?

To find the right size collar, you will ned to take 2 measurements. You'll need to measure the size in inches around their neck and the size in inches from the neck to the snout. The second measurement (neck to snout) is the most critical, as the collar needs to extend beyond the nose in order to provide effective protection. If your dog or cat’s nose is sticking out of the end of the cone, they may be able to reach the affected areas. If any of the measurements are 'between' two sizes, choose the larger size.
Why is the sm size dimension bigger than med size ??

The Small fits neck sizes 8-12 inches and the Medium fits necks 8.5-13.25 inches.

worked well combination with the Kong cloud

My Weimaraner had sutures on right flank. I was concerned the Kong cloud wasn't large enough in circumference to prevent him getting to the area if he was unattended. I used this Alfie with the Kong cloud behind it. It worked well and it was much more comfortable for him than the long cone from the vet. By itself this recovery collar would not be enough to prevent him from reaching the back area, but to prevent from reaching chest or upper front leg I'm sure it would be fine. Also this has a soft neck drawstring that locks in place where you select so no need for to use a collar with this.

Soft recovery cone

My dog doesn't like anything on his head or around his neck but he was pretty comfortable with it because it was soft

Arrived misshapen

Ordered this to replace the one my cat had managed to disfigure (and as a result was able to chew her paws) this one arrived bent and more closely resembled a football than a cone. Wouldn’t care, except my cat could still reach her paws.

Mookie has a new look

The soft collar is nicer than the plastic one from the Vet. Theirs is clear plastic. It offers a view. The soft one still seems nicer

It came bent up and it's cloth I donated it

It's bent and my pups neck did not have the support he needed for him not to eat the topical ointment. It's a bad cone.
