Amazing design! I got a small for my 11 lb Pom and it fits well, with one side of velcro attaching to the other side about an inch in, given all her hair/fur, making sure I can fit two fingers in between her and the collar. Its sturdy yet pliable and she very comfortably sleeps in it and even eats and drinks in it. She was licking her paw raw out of anxiety and this collar has allowed her sore to heal. The padded part is comfortable. She has gotten out of it a few times overnight which I think is a good thing so it's not like a choke collar. If I'd positioned the velcro more carefully it wouldn't have popped off. Really has helped her paw heal so I highly recommend, especially compared to the generic ones the vet has, which we tried first and she was miserable in that one.
We have been using a very soft Eliz. collar for our kitty but she was beginning to shred it while scratching. We ordered this Zumi soft edge collar uncertain if it would be flexible enough for her to move her head or if it would be too small. It fits well if we velcro it at the edge so it's larger and much to our surprise it allows her ears freedom of movement (where the other, softer one was more closed in). And being able to see thru it seems to make it easier for her to confidently move about. Though she is good about us putting any collar on and off of her, this Zumi collar is easier for us just because it velcros. Overall we are very pleased and so is she.
Too big and dog is obsessed with big white velcroi could have gotten medium it would have fit better I went by neck size way too big for my dog
The collar fit is perfect where I’m not worried about discomfort and the closing doesn’t catch on my dogs hair. Length isn’t that long so if animal is on the longer side and your attempting to keep them from the lower half of their body this one won’t be the best choice if your animal is flexible.
for small dogs, this is great! My pom/chi hated the one the vet put on him and was in fear all the time of moving. I had to feed by hand as well as give water by hand. With this collar, he still couldn't reach his front paw that was healing but could eat and drink water by himself and even play with a few of his toys. When he hit the side of something with the cone, he didn't freak out. Warning however, the velrco on it is terribly strong and loud so he will panic as I will when we have to remove it. I'm chicken so will probably have vet take it off.
Bought a medium for my 14 lb cockapoo. I love that it fits his neck and that its comfortable for him, however the cone shape is not long enough. My dog can still reach his groin area which we want him to avoid. Maybe it will work for a smaller dog.
Based on measurements I thought that this would be a great cone for my cat. However it fit's his neck but it sticks out really far. I have not been able to get any use out of it. I think it would be good for a small dog.
Within two minutes of putting this on my cat, she squeezed her way under the bed and backed right out of it, likely due to oversoft and malleable collar line. Should use a tough elastic or something to prevent such easy escape.
This collar is a much better version of the old hard collars. It is much softer so sleeping is better. My cat could see peripherally which helped make her more comfortable. She still wasn't happy with the collar but till her stitches come out she has to wear it. the Velcro closing made it easy to put the collar on and off and adjust the size of the opening.
This fit my dog perfectly. Unfortunately, he pulled it off in about 2 minutes. I think the fabric is too soft.
