A great alternative to rigid plastic cones, it prevents her from reaching the wounded, sensitive or irritated area while still allowing her to walk, eat, sleep and play comfortably. The unique design features removable plastic stays that let you determine how structured the cone should be–remove them for more flexibility, or leave them in for a firmer set-up. You can even turn it around to cover the neck and upper chest, or fold it back for added freedom while eating and drinking, as well as when checking or medicating wounds. Best of all, this special design conforms to doorways, pet doors and other openings for unobstructed freedom of movement.

For the best fit, match the below dimensions to your pet's measurements as closely as possible. If you do not have a measuring tape, feel free to use the Printable Measuring Tape provided on this page.
Neck Circumference: Measure the broadest part of the neck, leaving room for two fingers.
Neck to Snout Length: Measure from the base of the pet’s neck, where their collar sits comfortably, to the tip of their nose. Your pet's nose must be shorter than the depth of the cone.
If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two.

While my dog isn’t in love w his cone , we have done cone training to teach him to leave it alone (and so he knows it’s not a punishment). My dog has problems w his paws and our previous plastic cone was getting too bent to use. He seems to sleep better with this cone on than the plastic one, so that’s a plus. The velcro is very strong but a little hard to place if your dog is wiggly like mine. Would recommend this cone regardless, especially if your pet has to sleep with a cone on sometimes.
I had high hopes for the Comfy Cone. My cat Tyler had an injury on his back that the vet recommended a cone for to prevented him from messing with it. Tyler is a fairly large cat, so I followed the measurements listed. Unfortunately he was immediately able to open the velcro and remove the cone in either position with one sweep of his paw. He was so fast that I couldn't even get a photo of him wearing it with the cone up like a lampshade.
This was the perfect cone post neuter. Helped make him less of a household menace when knocking into everything. It was easy to use, clean, and to take on and off.
After my dog's cancer tumor surgery, we got a traditional plastic e-collar that was so sharp and hard that he actually ended up being able to use the cone to reach his sutures, dig at them with the hard cone, and it caused an infection! It was a painful mess!!! Cost me $2500 in extra visits and a month of extra recovery time. This cone was suggested by our vet (after the fact) and it saved him from being able to injure himself anymore, he was able to sleep comfortably, and my legs, furniture and walls also were very thankful to have the awful plastic cone gone!!!
It didn't work for us. We have a golden retriever puppy that is 10 months old when he was neutered. The huge plastic cone was like a wrecking ball in the house, so I bought this thinking it would be better for the full 7-10 days we had to deal with it. He was able to get around it too easily though, so we ended up having to go back to the large cone. Because of his hair and shedding, there is no way for me to be able to return it, so I am out of the money.
I have a 70 lb. Labrador who is like a wrecking ball with those plastic cones. By the end of her recovery period the plastic cone is held together with duct tape and the dog is miserable. She was having scheduled surgery so I asked the vet for a recommendation of something different, and she suggested Comfy Cone. This was the BEST PURCHASE EVER. It was easy to take on and off, very secure (she couldn't get out of it on her own), and comfortable for my dog. Yes the velcro is loud, but once attached is it STRONG. If you need extra security, there are elastic loop holes at the neck to attach to a collar. I used a knotted shoe string to secure it at night and when I had to leave her unsupervised for extended periods of time. It cleans up easily and folds flat for storage. Excellent product!! I ordered an XL for my dog, and the cone extended 2" past her nose which is what the vet required. My dog was content throughout and healed beautifully.
So much better than the uncomfortable scary plastic cone my dog still doesnt really like when I put it on him but I can tell he is so much more comfortable and can lay down much more freely I would say because its not a see through material like plastic my dog at first didnt like not being able to see around the cone but just buy it So worth it also this review would not let me use commas or periods or any thing so I promise my grammar is better than this lol
This is a very well made cone, with attention to detail. It is flexible, adjustable, and it seems "comfy". If they have to wear one of these awful things, you may as well get a good one, and this is it.
I found it worse then the hard plastic ones. I put it on after surgery and she just stood there and would not move. Found it to be hard and very flexible. But plan on donating it to shelter.
I received this collar yesterday. Followed the directions and put it on my dog who is recovering from surgery. It was fantastic. However, this morning I noticed that one of the smaller velcro patches had come completely off, and there are some loose threads in several places. It's a great recovery collar, and I have tried quite a few, but for a velcro piece to come off in less that 24 hours is very disappointing.
