Cats belong to an order of strict carnivores that have the teeth of predators and a digestive system suited to absorb and make optimal use of proteins. In nature, the cat’s diet consisted of different prey (mice, birds, fish), a prevalent source of protein and fat (in addition to fiber and other nutrients found in the digestive tract of this prey).
A diet in tune with this carnivorous nature requires rotation: for an optimal nutritional balance, Almo Nature therefore recommends feeding cats all types of meat and fish, and both wet and dry foods to guarantee the intake of all the necessary nutrients are received.

Cat food=dog food?
By PJLG on Oct 24, 2020
I purchased this cat food for my senior Cocker Spaniel. I chose to try it because he loves tuna but I know tuna in large amounts can cause problems due to the mercury. I'm sure it's a great cat food, I just have a very finicky cat and dog! I can't get either one of them to eat it. I first tried it on my Cocker with no luck. I've tried it on my cat for a few mornings.....nope, she won't eat it either. I can't recommend nor NOT recommend. I have no idea how someone else's cat will take to it? Like I said, I have a very finicky feline!

Smell is horrible, cats won't eat it
By meh3 on Dec 4, 2020
I should start by saying I don't like fish and I am sensitive to odors. I opened this and almost threw up (not normal). My cats are not picky. They would not eat it. One cat I have never seen refuse food turned the bowl over. It was bad.

Fish bones in food
By bones on Sep 20, 2020
There were little bones in 2 out of the 3 cans I've tried opening for my cats. Aside from that both cats also refuse to eat it.

I'll let you rate it.
By winstonnumber2 on Jul 25, 2020
My cats(3) ate it one time, then turned up their noses. It looks & smells like quality tuna & perhaps it is but still a no go with my persnickity girls. Typical behavior for my cats, eat it once or twice & then never again.

By Jaxi on Jul 10, 2020
Not sure why but none of my cats liked this flavor. I work w a rescue so we tried it on a lot of different cats too. Looked like good ingredients for them.

Little Miss Picky Paws Loves this
By druth58 on Aug 9, 2019
My younger cat became very picky once she left the growing kitten stage. When a kitten she would not eat anything with fish. Now fish is her preferred food choice. She simply loves almo nature tuna. She stays on her food dish longer than with other foods - less treat begging.

Finicky cat
By Geezer on Sep 16, 2019
This cat food finely was the food my cat loved thanks to Chewy's recommendation. I was buying regular tuna because that was all he would eat. This food did the trick!
