Feeding Instructions

Cats belong to an order of strict carnivores that have the teeth of predators and a digestive system suited to absorb and make optimal use of proteins. In nature, the cat’s diet consisted of different prey (mice, birds, fish), a prevalent source of protein and fat (in addition to fiber and other nutrients found in the digestive tract of this prey).

A diet in tune with this carnivorous nature requires rotation: for an optimal nutritional balance, Almo Nature therefore recommends feeding cats all types of meat and fish, and both wet and dry foods to guarantee the intake of all the necessary nutrients are received.

    My Pickie Cat

    By on

So far, she likes this flavor. The other flavor which is plain Tuna not so much. She is getting older and it is getting harder to please. I guess because she is female. My male cats would eat just about anything as long as it was in gravy.

My fussy cats wouldn't eat it so I gave it to my daughter's cat & dog.

Acceptable cheaper version of a great food, Also Nature

    By on

My cats (the majority of them) really enjoy and appear to thrive on the Almo Nature fish flavors and occasionally the chicken flavor. I saw this cheaper version and thought it was worth a try. I tried tuna and salmon and plain tuna and both were welcomed by the cats (10). I can't say for sure that they like it as much as the premium flavors, but they eagerly eat it. So far, half way through a case of each, no one has turned it down, neither insiders, nor outsiders, and at this price I can give it more frequently to the outsiders. Like most Almo Nature foods, there is no taurine added, so I have to add taurine myself, but that is not difficult.
