    A protein-rich treat

    By on Top 500 Contributor

This food is 100% chicken packed in water with no additives. I use it as a mixer to add more fluid and protein to their regular canned food, or as a stand-alone treat. The cats like it a lot.

    Great Treat or Food Topper

    By on

My cats love this. It is great for getting some extra calories into a kitty who is growing, convalescing, or just as an awesome treat. We always joke that should we ever be stuck due to a blizzard, or something, that this is the first food my husband and I are going to eat :-) It is shredded chicken. Yum. Of course, I could make fresh chicken for the cats for less $, however, sometimes that isn't practical.

    Supplimental diet is NOT complete/balanced

    By on

Quality of product is good. Almo's marketing "60% (Almo brand) wet food plus 40% dry food equals 100% balanced nutrition" can be misleading to some. 60% of the diet does not equal supplimental feeding. A drumstick in a can is not enough to meet nutrient requirements for your cat. Almo Legend for cats states that it is supplimental but the company's feeding recommendations 60/40 is ill-advised. Please, basic balanced nutrition for your cat is easy to research and imperative for a happy, healthy lifetime.

    Must be VERY tasty

    By on Top 100 Contributor

This is a real hit at our house. When you open the can, you can tell this is REAL chicken. It is moist, tender and appetizing. Our cats love it!!!! I believe this is supposed to be used in conjunction with other dry/wet foods as this is simply chicken cooked in its own juices....no other vitamins, etc. have been added. But, judging from how our cats eat it up, it must be VERY tasty. And, real meat is good for our cats. It's what they are designed to eat so I feel good about serving this food to them.

    Rather stinky

    By on

This food doesn't smell good and my boys took one smell as well, and wouldn't touch it. Expensive miss, darn it.

    OK as a treat . . .

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

Very expensive, and the cats soon got tired of it. Also, it's not intended as a complete food.
