Description

Help stop stink the natural way with Almo Nature Cat Litter. This all-natural, ultra-absorbent kitty litter is made from vegetable fibers, which means it’s biodegradable, compostable and flushable! The starch from the vegetable fibers creates fast clumping action, separating used litter from clean litter, while the plant enzymes help to neutralize odors, so your nose and your cat’s nose don’t have to suffer. And you'll be happy to know that it's also completely free of chemicals, additives and toxic agents for a litter you can trust!

Key Benefits
  • Made of 100% vegetable fiber that’s compostable, flushable and biodegradable.
  • Plant enzymes help neutralize unpleasant odors.
  • Helps absorb urine instantly and provides superior clumping action.
  • 100% free of chemicals, additives and toxic agents.
  • Offers a soft texture that’s gentle on paws.
Precautions

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

Instructions

PREPARATION

To avoid tracking, we advise placing a mat in front of the tray.

FIRST TIME USE

Pour the product into the litter tray to create a base approximately 0.8 in deep (for a 12 x 16 in tray 2.2 lb will be sufficient)

EVERY DAY

Remove the clumps with a large, mesh scoop and dispose of them directly into the toilet* or the compost

EVERY WEEK

Replenish cat litter base to 0.8 in deep.

ONCE A MONTH

If you decide to wash the litter tray, do not throw the clean litter away – you can reuse it (the rapid formation of soiled clumps ensures the hygiene of the surrounding product)

DISPOSAL OF THE EMPTY BAG The CatLitter bag is made of PE-LD 04 (low density polyethylene). It is 100% recyclable and should be disposed of with plastic recyclables.

    Heaven sent (or even scent)...

Hands down, my new favorite!!! I have tried EVERYTHING OUT THERE, but I wanted something natural so my cats weren't constantly inhaling EXTREMELY harmful chemicals....remember when baby powder was also "safe"! I tried all the others, and while I loved the flushable feature, the consistency was very coarse, and the alleged "odor control" was not evident. In fact, they smelled more like urine than any other. So I started searching all over again and came across this brand. I was not overly confident as the ratings weren't very high, while the price was!!! But thought I would try nonetheless. I am SO happy I did... this liter is excellent!! Clumping: Best to date. Odor control: Fantastic Hands down, my new favorite!!! I am SO happy I did... this liter is excellent!! Clumping: Best to date. Odor control: Fantastic! ....but I do scoop very regularly - I don't like a dirty box Flushable: Yes - so also good for the environment (no bags) . Natural material: Yes (again, environment!!! Light weight: Heck YES! Now I will admit, it is costly $$$, especially when compared to others, but I consider the trade off well worth it. In fairness, it does track on the floor around it, BUT, if you're like me, you vacuum / sweep / mop regularly (since we have pets). And since the material is fine, it's not as bad or visible - again, vacuum! ...have I mentioned -IT'S NATURAL!!!! I am very happy that my cats approve of this product....very seldom do I get super excited by a product and find those finicky rascals on the same page!! OK, bottom line; With the exception of the price point $$$$, I love EVERYTHING about this product!! ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ … more

Great litter for senior and young cat house

    By on

Our kittens have had the same litter brand for years-we had tried a few brands but always returned to the same clay litter. Recently my one senior cat would poo on the floor next to the box on occasion. After ruling out medical issues and behavioral issues (a younger cat who likes to pounce), I decided to try another litter and chose Almo Natural since it is plant based and had great reviews. I was hesitant because I cannot purchase this in-store anywhere near home, but Chewy is so amazing I took a chance. I started by introducing one box with Almo and kept their other brand in the other two. After 3 months, I still keep one box with their old brand but happily report it is barely used. Almo natural litter clumps SO well and is easy to scoop because it is lighter, definitely better than their clay brand. There is some tracking right outside the box but a quick sweep cleans it right up. I am also happy to report our senior cat hasn’t made a mess outside the boxes in over a month! No litter stays fresh smelling for long (in my opinion) but I was the boxes often and reuse the litter/adding some fresh and haven’t had an issue. Washing the boxes is a breeze since switching to Almo Natural also! … more

What I had been looking for...

    By on

No matter what kind of litter, there is some level of particulate left where your cat walks. My cats matter a great deal, so the benefits to my cats and their health outweigh what my washer and vacuum can sort out for any annoyance I might have otherwise. This is an ideal product, for lots of personal reasons - it just ticks all the boxes for me. It’s from plants, gentle on their feet, sticks together like crazy when scooped, clean and safe. You can flush the poop straight away, but letting the urine sit for a “minute” while it breaks down works and off they go. I love this product.

    Flushable but dusty

    By on

So far this litter seems fine, no problem with flushing it. It is very dusty when poury it in the litter box and dusty air when cleaning the litter box. So my cats must be inhaling this when they’re covering their mess also.

Unfortunately, this litter truly is 'too good to be true'

    By on

I was excited to buy this litter- the chance to be more environmentally friendly, and/or to flush my cat's waste, combined with super tight clumping and odor control to boot? Amazing! Unfortunately, I must corroborate other comments that people have left: this litter's dust will cling to your cat's fur. And they will subsequently track dust all over your home, and everything in it: on your counters, on your bed sheets, on your floors, on your clothing, even- nothing is safe. I will say that this litter's clumping power is suberb, and I truly didn't smell my cats waste while using it. But the dust is too much, I cannot have it tracked over every surface of my house that my cat touches. My cats and I are like mmm.......

    By on

I like the concept of this litter, but it has a sour smell, it doesn’t prevent odor emitting into the room, it is very dusty and it does track. That said my kitties don’t really care for it. They don’t seem to have as bad of breathing problems like they do with clay, but it needs some work on its claims. I prefer it overall because it’s biodegradable but because of the lingering smell and dust I don’t think I’ll continue using it unfortunately.

    Lovin’ This Litter!

    By on

This is the first time I have tried this litter, but it looks like a winner to me! At the moment I’m only using it for my Bengal fur baby who lives in my bedroom/master bath. Easiest litter to scoop I’ve ever had! That’s a big plus for these old arthritic hands of mine. Going to order more for the rest of the crew! Wish it wasn’t so expensive!! I’ll see how the other four like it and how well it absorbs with multiple cat use. It clumps really well!! I definitely recommend this litter, and so does Ms. Aysia! Easy on her paws!!

    Dissatisfied

    By on

The litter clumps well, no lingering odor if kept well scooped. That is the best part. The litter is like a soft sand and clings to everything including the cats. One cat is sneezing which she had not done in 6 yrs. Make me think that the dust is causing problems for her. My cats use it but if there is a box with regular clumping litter available it will be used first.

    It's dusty...

    By on

I have tried countless litters, all had their flaws. From the corn having mold issues (I live in a humid state), to tracking, smell control and my cats out right hating it. This is the only one I have found that seems to be a good overall litter. The dust is the worst, it's NOT terrible, to be fair it's not much worse than the clay litter I was using. It does track, but again, not nearly as bad as others and not anymore more than the one I was using. Clumps great and doesn't stick to the bottom/sides of the pan like the clay litter. It's soft and the cats seem to like it. Overall it's safer for my cats, and the dust is manageable in my opinion.
