I really like this litter and my cat is warming up to it. She doesn’t dig in it like the corn litter so don’t have to worry about dust. It does look dusty when you pour it but it is very fine (like sand) so static makes it cling to the box. I was sceptical of the claims of it lasting so long, but believe I really like this litter and my cat is warming up to it. I was sceptical of the claims of it lasting so long, but believe it now (says you can also save the unsoiled litter between washing the box!) I have about 2” in the box and so far I haven’t had to scrape the bottom, the pee soaks in on top before it reaches the bottom. It also sifts quickly so I don’t have to shake the scoop at all. I flush this with no problems, but I only have one cat so only do one or two clumps at a time. I haven’t noticed any tracking outside of the rug in front of the box. I imagine a kitty that digs in it would make a mess since it’s sand like but maybe that would deter digging? … more

This is the dustiest litter I have ever used and I've used them all. Too fine, like sand. If you have a digger, they will be sneezing. And you will be wiping dust off everything. I'm going back to my combo okocat blue and pioneer cat grass. Never had problems with that combination.

Perfect for people who don't like heavy perfumed litter
By Tami on Jan 13, 2021
This litter clumps well, and works great for sifting, and didn't have a heavy smell. I love that it is biodegradable and with some skill can be hot composted and put on my roses. (I still wouldn't put it on veggie gardens) Even if you chose to put it in the trash it is an awesome litter.

Don’t stop selling this litter!
By Phaonis on Nov 19, 2020
This is a miracle litter. I have a man cat, he is not easy on floors or the litter box. Didn’t want to keep using clay litters, they weren’t cutting it on smell or absorbing power. My cat eats traditional grass litter, wood litter was good but it didn’t clump and got everywhere. Didn’t want corn or other litters that promote bugs and mold and well he’d probably eat those too. So I thought maybe this would be a long shot. We moved to a top entry box since he liked to pee right out the front opening, then toss out litter to cover! And with this fine sand litter he doesn’t try to eat it, it’s good absorption plus the smell is non existent. Doesn’t aggravate allergies or smell up the room like wood This is a miracle litter. I highly recommend this if you have a similar situation! … more

Heaven sent (or even scent)...
By amorr on Sep 4, 2020
Hands down, my new favorite!!! I have tried EVERYTHING OUT THERE, but I wanted something natural so my cats weren't constantly inhaling EXTREMELY harmful chemicals....remember when baby powder was also "safe"! I tried all the others, and while I loved the flushable feature, the consistency was very coarse, and the alleged "odor control" was not evident. In fact, they smelled more like urine than any other. So I started searching all over again and came across this brand. I was not overly confident as the ratings weren't very high, while the price was!!! But thought I would try nonetheless. I am SO happy I did... this liter is excellent!! Clumping: Best to date. Odor control: Fantastic Hands down, my new favorite!!! I am SO happy I did... this liter is excellent!! Clumping: Best to date. Odor control: Fantastic! ....but I do scoop very regularly - I don't like a dirty box Flushable: Yes - so also good for the environment (no bags) . Natural material: Yes (again, environment!!! Light weight: Heck YES! Now I will admit, it is costly $$$, especially when compared to others, but I consider the trade off well worth it. In fairness, it does track on the floor around it, BUT, if you're like me, you vacuum / sweep / mop regularly (since we have pets). And since the material is fine, it's not as bad or visible - again, vacuum! ...have I mentioned -IT'S NATURAL!!!! I am very happy that my cats approve of this product....very seldom do I get super excited by a product and find those finicky rascals on the same page!! OK, bottom line; With the exception of the price point $$$$, I love EVERYTHING about this product!! ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ … more

Flushable but dusty
By Linda on Sep 3, 2020
So far this litter seems fine, no problem with flushing it. It is very dusty when poury it in the litter box and dusty air when cleaning the litter box. So my cats must be inhaling this when they’re covering their mess also.

Great litter for senior and young cat house
By Annie on Jul 21, 2020
Our kittens have had the same litter brand for years-we had tried a few brands but always returned to the same clay litter. Recently my one senior cat would poo on the floor next to the box on occasion. After ruling out medical issues and behavioral issues (a younger cat who likes to pounce), I decided to try another litter and chose Almo Natural since it is plant based and had great reviews. I was hesitant because I cannot purchase this in-store anywhere near home, but Chewy is so amazing I took a chance. I started by introducing one box with Almo and kept their other brand in the other two. After 3 months, I still keep one box with their old brand but happily report it is barely used. Almo natural litter clumps SO well and is easy to scoop because it is lighter, definitely better than their clay brand. There is some tracking right outside the box but a quick sweep cleans it right up. I am also happy to report our senior cat hasn’t made a mess outside the boxes in over a month! No litter stays fresh smelling for long (in my opinion) but I was the boxes often and reuse the litter/adding some fresh and haven’t had an issue. Washing the boxes is a breeze since switching to Almo Natural also! … more

What I had been looking for...
By EaLang on Jul 16, 2020
No matter what kind of litter, there is some level of particulate left where your cat walks. My cats matter a great deal, so the benefits to my cats and their health outweigh what my washer and vacuum can sort out for any annoyance I might have otherwise. This is an ideal product, for lots of personal reasons - it just ticks all the boxes for me. It’s from plants, gentle on their feet, sticks together like crazy when scooped, clean and safe. You can flush the poop straight away, but letting the urine sit for a “minute” while it breaks down works and off they go. I love this product.

My cats and I are like mmm.......
By Jody on Jun 12, 2020
I like the concept of this litter, but it has a sour smell, it doesn’t prevent odor emitting into the room, it is very dusty and it does track. That said my kitties don’t really care for it. They don’t seem to have as bad of breathing problems like they do with clay, but it needs some work on its claims. I prefer it overall because it’s biodegradable but because of the lingering smell and dust I don’t think I’ll continue using it unfortunately.
