5 min shake
Haven’t used it yet but what you get is a spray bottle with powder chemicals inside. Instructions say to fill with water and shake for 5 minutes just before use. This won’t work for me. When my dog gets sprayed, I don’t have 5 minutes. I bought this so I could act quickly rather than mixing up baking soda and dawn. BUT giving it 3 stars in the meantime in case it works wonders.

Don't waste your money. I have a German Shep that was sprayed by a skunk in his chest. I did the " home remedy - baking soda, prox and dawn" when it first happened, then to the groomer the next day for a " skunk shampoo bath " . Then had to wait a " week and a half " for Chewy to send this on. But, inbetween the wait, the dog was Dawn Dish Soaped, every 4 days on the chest, and once the spray FINALLY came, he went back to the groomer again with the spray bottle, she did another skunk shampoo bath, then sprayed this on him, and well its like using " hair spray ". Makes the fur all hard so it doesn't move. Skunk smell, still there. Bottle once mixed, is only good for 7 days, vet recommends not to spray more than once every other day on desired skunk area... You be the judge.. Good Luck!
your timing is off
When you order something for skunk odor removal, do you really think it is going to help when it arrives 18 days after the order? I ordered this product to help resolve a skunk spray issue...most of my orders in the past arrived within two days of my order. You need to expedite any orders that involve dogs that have been on the wrong end of a skunk! 18 days is unacceptable!
Impressive
Very impressed with this product. For over a week, our sweetie continued to smell skunky. From what I had read, it seemed that there is only a small window of time in which trying to remove the skunk oil is actually effective. After a week of trying other products and home remedies, this arrived and not only took away the week old smell from our dogs fur but was also effective when sprayed on our wood privacy fence where the spray happened. While it did slightly yellow the white parts of our dogs fur, this was a small price to pay to have the odor gone! The product itself has no scent.
pretty impressive
I got this for my dog who was skunked. Obviously. After three baths she was still stinky and this immediately took the smell away. She took it right to the face/ mouth and it was very difficult to wash her there because she believed I was water boarding her. I sprayed this product on a wash cloth and massaged it in and got places the bath wasn’t able to reach, like between her eyes and her cheeks. I will say that the smell seems to return faintly when she gets wet. I reapplied and the smell disappeared each time and only returned when she got wet again. Still tho for how well it worked on her and the rest of the house where she rubbed against before her bath and after, I’d buy it again.
Actually beats skunk odor!
Product is recommended to stay on for 20 minutes. Well, that didn’t happen. Ten minutes was the best I could do. It also cautions you to avoid eyes, etc so I was always trying to cover areas with my hand when spraying it. But the odor is almost entirely gone! Except for one little spot right in front of her ear that only smells if you stick your nose right on it. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it.

I absolutely recommend this product. Not only did it remove the skunk smell from my dog, it also removed it from my garage and car.

I have this on hand. It comes in pellets in the childproof squirt bottle. Add water prior to use. No worries about it spilling during storage. It’s like auto insurance. You have it on hand for accidents and skunk emergencies. It was on sale bogo 1 1/2 off. Highly recommend. Month of May, my dog discovered skunk season. Luckily he was far enough away and startled by the sudden turn about. Only his ear got hit. We have a lot of skunks this time of year. Always keep this in the garage, ready to mix with water when needed!!
I still smell
I am a Dog and I killed a skunk that had rabies to protect my mom. We are both fine I was up to date with my vaccine and got a booster and my mom didn’t need shots.She gave me 3 treatments with the spray, i was never real stinky and it helped some but i still have a lingering odor.
Stinky Skunk Face
My boy went after a skunk last week. Needless to say it was a stinky situation. We brought him in the garage and did the baking soda, dish soap and hydrogen peroxide paste and bathed him. He (and my whole house) still smelled so bad. I decided to look on Chewy to see if they have anything to help. I found Skunk Away. I used as directed shaking for 5 mins with warm water (man that’s a long time!). I left it in him for about 20 minutes and then bathed him. OMG! Not a trace of skunk smell on him! I just ordered another bottle for back up. My boy Charles and myself both highly recommend.
