These are the ones! We used to buy a different brand, but those often arrived crushed to powder and some pieces were too hard for my older kitty to chew, so we tried these. While I was put off by the stronger odor of these treats, the feline community said "dis is da bomb!". American Journey Freeze-dried Chicken Treats are a bit softer that the previous brand so the percent of powder in the bottom of the bag is much less. Our fur babies have to have these! If we run out, there's trouble, so I always try to have an extra bag in the cat food closet!
Tito has something to say about everything and he does not give this 2 paws up. He's hard to please but i don't take it personal. Ruger, my GSD, on the other hand loves it! I'm using it as a topper for his meals. I will continue to explore the never ending sea of treats to seek out that one "unicorn" that Tito may or may not like because well you know we work for our cats and pleasing them is our life's mission! LOL Seriously...There is nothing wrong with the product....Tito is just very picky.
Got a bag of this in a Goodie Box and finally got around to giving it a try. No one would touch it. I just tried it with some of the strays that frequent me, even they won't touch it. At this point I have to hope the one raccoon that stops by every now and then wants it otherwise the whole thing is going into the trash. Don't waste your time with these "treats".
Had ordered this to try since Halo freeze-dried chicken products were no longer available on Chewy. Despite being well before expiration date, smelled truly bad when I opened, but thought it was just my nose and peculiar since it's just chicken. Belle ate it up at first, but rancid smell was even worse over next couple days. At that point, she took a sniff, backed away and refused to eat any. I have a 2nd bag, but hesitant to open it. Will be calling customer service.
These are big chunks of white meat chicken. The cats go crazy for them and the dog waits nearby to lick up any crumbs. I am using them as a training treat for the cats to come when called. Both the girls run to me every time I call now.
big cat was snobby against these at first but eventually came around after seeing the younger cat eat them up. they keep her satisfied in between meals and more healthier than her regular treats which is needed due to her diet
I received these in a free goody box, otherwise I'm not sure if I would have bought these. But they devour these treats! These are now the only treats I buy!
Last Christmas each of my cats were given a gift box with some toys and this treat inside. They are absolutely smitten with this product and cannot get enough! I mean they let me know when it is treat time like clockwork! The other treats we used to give them they won't even touch now. The only critique I have is that much of the contents seem to be crumbs as compared to nice bite chunks. What I do with the crumbs is sprinkle them over their morning wet food breakfast. Especially helps when they are not crazy about the wet food they were given. Right now can't live without this product! Cheers!
This is an outstanding, pure, wholesome snack. Our totally strange senior orange tabby SHOULD be gobbling up this treat, but she leaves them. It's HER, not the treats. I'm going to donate them to the shelter.
These treats are high quality and THE ONLY treat my picky floof kitty eat. They are low in calories. Can't get enough
