I don't want to be unfair as I've only had my puppy one day. I'm not sure if her being handfed a treat, or we are still getting to know each other, but she won't eat these. They actually smell pretty good, but no I won't taste it to tell you if it's good or not. ;) I did put some in her little rubber tire toy and she ate them when they bounced out, but then left a few on the floor. These treats are soft and I will definitely keep on trying to use them as a reward, but so far she loves being petted as a reward over these treats. If she does eventually eat these, I will definitely buy again since they do smell like the real deal. You could at least try them for your own dog to see if your dog likes them.
I bought a bag of the beef and a bag of the chicken treats. My Chihuahua, Bella, just ignores them in her treat bowl and will not take them from my hand. She won't even give them a try. Bella mailed both packages to a dog friend of hers and I am anxious to learn if he likes them or not.
Love these they are a huge hit with our new boxer puppies. We also love how easy it is to order and have things shipped fast. Thank you Chewy
I normally buy the salmon flavor (all three Bulldogs love that one) and wanted to try this flavor to see if it would be just as good. It is. It's good to know if I ever want to change up their treats that they will happily eat beef flavor along with the salmon. Overall excellent training treats.
I am trying to teach my Rhodesian Ridgeback to wear a walking leash around her nose and she wants no part of it until I bring out these training treats and then she will let me put it right over her nose and she will walk around the house with me as long as I keep giving her these bite-size treats. So grateful.
My dogs enjoyed these ones. Whenever I went to grab the container, they would be on top of me, slamming me to the ground just to get to the bag. So I kept them in my cookie jar in the cupboard, and I did have to explain to my partner that they were eating dog treats, though. So, I had to relable to cookie jar: For Dogs.
It might b good for others including some trainers, but i have small dogs and I guess they must be picky because I was lucky to get one of them to smell them..the other one just looked at it and walked away. I was hoping it would work. but I have the same problem with the food, I have to mix with another food so that they will eat itl
These are a perennial hit with basically every dog I give them to. They are marketed as 'bits' but honestly, I often break them into 2-4 pieces even for large and giant breed dogs. I like that they're chewy and moist (as long as you keep them in a sealed bag). I don't want a training treat that a dog has to crunch or take a long time to chew. So these fit the bill and the beef recipe without corn, wheat, or soy is tummy-friendly for the majority of dogs.
I order a 16 oz bag of training bits to start using when my present training food ran out. The bag I received May 5th. Has a best by date of 7/13/23. That seems like a short shelf life, or do the training bits always have a short shelf life? If that is a fact I will have to order smaller bags. I don't recall it having such a short shelf like the last time I ordered. My dog love these bits, but I use them only for training purpose.
My dogs like these just fine. They aren't their top favorites, but they wouldn't pass up an opportunity to eat them. They are quite small, good for training as long as you have some other, bigger treats to mix in (like Charlee Bear crunchy treats), or else your dog may lose interest.
