American Journey Beef & Sweet Potato Recipe Grain-Free Dry Dog Food

As soon as I stopped feeding my Caesar American journey and other “top rated” hard foods many of his problems went away. For years we couldn’t find out why he was getting such bad allergy bumps on his back, changing his food from one grain free to this one didn’t help. He was put on apoquel but all his problems would come back when the dose was done. Our new vet recommended not getting expensive foods but getting either hills, Purina, or royal canine. One month on Purina and NO PILLS at all and all his bumps are gone. Don’t buy the expensive food, they do not test them properly! Don’t fall for the tricks!

I dont recommend this food at all, I've 3 dogs I'm feeding 1yr old Doberman, 10 mo old Lab mix and 15yr old Beagle, The first 4weeks of feeding this food went great, Then I noticed the kids were getting sick and would rotate which dog was sick every week. The only common source was the dog food change thier food it's been 2 mos and noone has been sick since, This food is garbage and could potentially harm the furkids.

I was hoping I could get him to try this healthy food because he loves sweet potato. I mixed it in his regular food but he refused to eat it for three days, so I had to give in . Not giving up though:) he’s worth the money. I wish dog food companies could make sample bags of all their food. It would be so much easier to try different foods and not worry about losing more than a few bucks for us that don’t have normal dogs

We have 2 large dogs and go through about 50lbs a month. We've been feeding our pups this now for probably 6 months, trying to help one of our dogs with digestive issues directly related to grains. Everything was great at first but over time we've noticed some issues. The food is not consistent. I have never had a food vary so much in color, size, and sheen from bag to bag. Something isn't right and to the point one of our pups won't even touch these last two bags we got. Time to find something else that is actually consistent bag to bag. Hard to trust the ingredients when the food looks different in almost every bag

We Love Chewy products! Bongo is a rescue dog from Puerto Rico and had a lot of allergy type stmptoms to many dry dog foods i tried. He did not agree with other dogs in the past. I tried Chewy grain free Beef and Sweet Potato food and it has made all the difference in his itching problem. I do however, have a very finicky fox terrier/jack Russell mix that likes what he likes! He has enjoyed the food for a couple years, but is now not wanting much to do with any of it. He also, controls his weight, which is a plus as a pet owner, but when he doesn’t want something anymore, he won’t eat it. He will go a day and still will not eat it. This stuff has helped my English bulldog so much! She isn’t shedding as much she loves the taste and her skin is looking so much better! My corgi loves it too but I was mostly on the hunt for a good that worked for my EB because she was having skin issues my Corgi is fine on whatever I feed him.

Sent quickly..dogs liked this American Journey ...great smell to me too, I always soften it using hot broth and a touch of meat pieces..my girls are 16+ yrs so I make it super special , I have noticed an improvement in their health. Thanks.

I can't say enough good things about this brand. My Rottiecorso was originally on Purina Proplan, per vet recommendation, and the bowl would stay full for days cause she wouldn't touch it. She also has a bad dandruff issue and I was told to get a higher grade of Purina that it was the best blah blah. After lots of research I tried American Journey, she started eating right away and the bowl rarely stays full anymore now she gets fed twice a day instead of free feeding.

Otis is a picky eater. It’s been hard finding a good food that he will eat. He absolutely love this new food. Never would have known about it if his regular food was out of stock. His vet recommended his old food. American Journey is a better food and as mentioned Otis actually enjoys eating it. Keeping it on our auto shipment!!! Totally recommend

My German Shepherd gal can be pretty finicky when it comes to food (treats are another story entirely!), so I often mix either wet food or broth with her food. As a result, I can't say with certainty if she would like this without any additions. On the other hand, she DOES eat it all up once served and I'm confident she's getting all the nutrients required for a 2 1/2 y.o. pup. There are plenty of mass-produced and often cheaper options on the market, but with American Journey I'm confident she's getting all she needs (and NONE of the garbage she doesn't) for a growing girl.
