I bought four bags of this cat food, one came open and they were even kind enough to send me an extra one. It says chicken on it so I didn't bother to read the ingredients, it has Manhadden fish meal in it. It has now made one of my cats sick I have vomit and diarrhea all over my house. My fault for not reading the ingredients but I will definitely have to find another grain-free food but it's definitely worth the price and a great food if your cat does not have a fish allergy. It'll be donated to the shelter for Christmas and I'm off to find another food.
I adopted a cat and they said she had been a stray and had been amenable to any food she was given through the rescue or foster homes. That tracks since I mixed her given food with this food and she loves it. She'll pick it over her wet food? Which I'm still trying to figure out (I have tried many a-wet food. It's a process). Grain-free, no litterbox problems at all...it's a winner!
My cats, Harley and Calli, love their Chewy food! Harley is especially a fan of this dry food. If his bowl starts to get even close to empty he starts to circle the bowl and then nip at my legs to alert me to his dwindling crunchy supply. Their coats are always silky and shiny, too. They both give it a "tails high in the air" rating!
For the past few years Scruffy has just been leaving his dry food in his bowl..uneaten. I have tried so many brands and finally, I tried American Journey. He loves it. Yay!!
Well, I was skeptical about this new food my mom decided to Guineapigi on us, but I am happy to report, Billie and I, Cliff the cat just love it! Now we are waiting for mom's next "project " mew Wet Food
I prefer to give my cat a healthy alternative to grocery store food. My cat is very healthy with no signs of obesity. I want to keep her muscular and fit. I also find she is less itchy. A plus for grain free food!
I fed my 1 indoor, 1 outdoor cats a basic find anywhere brand and they always struggled to finish the bowl unless I added some wet food or broth to the bowl but also seemed hungry all the time (Cats, right). They also had some tummy issues and hairballs. I wanted to find a food with more REAL ingredients to keep them full. They loved this from the first bowl, all the issues have gone away and they have a lot more energy too. 1 cat goes crazy for the boosters too and will even steal them from the dogs. Very happy with this food.
I had to buy this as the one my cats like was out of stock. They like chicken/turkey combo. They ate this but was glad when I got their favorite, so now I mix together until this one is gone.
I always research any pet food before buying it. Ingredients are extremely important!! This has been great so far. I currently have 5 cats ( I foster and rescue) and they all eat it without a problem.
I have been very happy with this brand over the past couple years, but was unable to get the usual Turkey flavor that my kitties love. I bought 2 bags of the Chicken Recipe and one of my cats started throwing up regularly. There were also clumps of stuck together food in the bag. Maybe I got a bad batch? I'm hoping you get the Turkey flavor in stock again!
