  • The perfect food for us

When I first adopted my young hound mix, he was incredibly ill and had a very upset stomach. He had been eating the another kibble given to him at the shelter, but he just couldn't stomach it. I eventually had transition him to a chicken and rice diet until his health issues abated, and when he seemed stable enough, I started to transition him onto this food. He absolutely adores it. Its the only kibble she's ever voluntarily eaten. We swear by this food for all of our dogs and frequently switch between the grain-free and non grain-free versions of the chicken recipe - none of the dogs experience any discomfort when switching between the two formulations. It has been amazing to find a food that meets all of their needs, and we will continue to purchase this product well into the future! … more

  • Fiber Content?

    By on

Overall this bag of food was a pretty good deal for a big bag for 50% off. My dog is fairly picky and she ate it just fine. My only complaint however is with the fiber content. It has a max of 5% per the information on the bag. I don't know if my dog is overly sensitive to fiber contents but we have tried about 5 different brands of food and she has never had so many bowel movements. We typically stuck with food with 3.5% max fiber and she would poop 2-3 times per day. Now she is going 4-5 times a day on average. It's definitely not helping her gain weight like we want. Not a bad bag of food but be aware and take it into consideration if your pup is sensitive to these changes like mine apparently Overall this bag of food was a pretty good deal for a big bag for 50% off. • not her fav but, dog actually likes it

got these to try during BOGO sale and our extremely picky dog surprisingly eats the chicken version dry when she is hungry in morning, she did not like the beef version at all.. she will devour this food when i add 1/4cp honest kitchen base mix, 3/4 cp of these kibbles and 1/2-3/4 cp of hot water and let it soak first. we use to feed her orijen for breakfast and only natural hydrated raw food for dinner so these kibble with honest kitchen mix has been a money saver and still healthy for her too. She has also had no tummy and poop issues with this brand, which she has with other brands we have tried. so it looks like after over 2yrs, we have finally found our permanent more affordable dry kibble got these to try during BOGO sale and our extremely picky dog surprisingly eats the chicken version dry when she is hungry in morning, she did not like the beef version at all.. she will devour this food when i add 1/4cp honest kitchen base mix, 3/4 cp of these kibbles and 1/2-3/4 cp of hot water and let it soak first. we use to feed her orijen for breakfast and only natural hydrated raw food for dinner so these kibble with honest kitchen mix has been a money saver and still healthy for her too. • Love Chewy! American Bulldog won't touch it though...

    By on

We have a picky and probably a spoiled Amer. Bulldog who has allergies and does much better on grain-free food. He is 11 and over the years formula changes and rising costs have sent us searching for more options. We bought this brand in the beef flavor and we were excited about the product and its price but he didn't touch it. We added some meat to it when we put fresh out midway through day 2. He picked out the meat and we called Chewy. They were great and they sent out this flavor. Same deal. i really hoped it would be the answer. Rating it a 3 star because it seems like a food that would be a perfect fit if your dog will eat it.

  • No turning back.

I purchased this dog food because the old brand I bought for my dogs has been discontinued from Chewy.com. I got an excellent introductory and first purchase price on the bag. The food arrived in two business days, even though w/out realizing it I ordered the food at the end of the day. I bought a chicken and salmon flavor at the same time. I mixed the two new bags in my container. Since my dogs were staring me down as I did that, I gave them a try. They gobbled it up. My dogs are very healthy not picky eaters at all. The next feeding I gave them some of the old food and some of the new mixture, trying to ease them into the new food. As the one dog does seem to have a weak stomach at times. • rescue racing greyhound

    By on

As you may or maynot know rescue racing greyhound are subject to bizaar diets in an effort to increase their speed. It is very difficult to find a diet that tyhey are able to tolerate because most of the intestinal biota has ben damaged or is virtually non existant. I searched for a diet with limited ingredients that she could tolerateand it turned out that Chicken and Sweet Potato was one that did not give her diarhhea and Iwas able to put some weight on her and end the cycle. I recommend it to anyone that may want a diet with limited ingredients.

  • Seems to love it!

    By on

My Anatolian/Pyrenees mix is a picky eater for a large dog. If he doesn't like the food it will sit in the bowl for at least a day until I give in and add something to make it worth his while. Which defeats the purpose of buying expensive grain free food! He really liked the first bag of this. I hope it continues. The food gets great reviews on sites that break down the composition. I have suffered through years of allergies and yeast infections with other dogs before finally realizing most of the problems were caused by their diet.

  • My dogs loved it!

    By on

I have been feeding my dogs Fromm since they were puppies, but due to Fromm recently deciding to not work with Chewy, and the fact I have come to rely on Chewy's convenience and amazing customer service, I decided to give this brand a try. I was nervous as both of my dogs were picky as puppies, but they have absolutely loved this since I first mixed it in with their Fromm. Even one of my pups who is normally a very slow eater and not food motivated loves it! So far I would say it seems great, especially for the price!

  • Abbey liked it!!

I'll purchase this product again.. My dog liked it.. She can be kind of fussy, not so much the food but how and where she eats it.. I put this in one of the treat balls and she takes it that way. She's a nibbler and she'll only eat if its spread out on a flat plate.. Picky... but she does eat this so I'm happy if she's happy.

  • Some dogs like it.

Hello, I have a herd of 7 here and most of mine eat this food, there's 2 that don't seem to care for it. If only they could talk? :) had no issues with this food, I think the ingredients are great and the end result is good so no complaints. Gave four stars because not ALL my dogs like this food.
