Disappointed
I bought this dry cat food after using a similarly formulated dry food(Evolve Classic) for some time. I did so as it was slightly cheaper and had free shipping at Chewy plus the other brand was becoming hard to find elsewhere. While my two cats will eat this food, many pieces are left outside the bowl. The reason is clear: this kibble is way smaller than any I have ever seen for an adult cat. This leads to a great deal of waste. I have decided to go back to the other brand. Unfortunately I still have half a bag left of this. I’ll see if someone else will take it off my hands. I should have read through all the reviews before I purchased. Another post made mention of the ridiculously small kibble.
Comparably- don't buy it
I started buying this in August 2022 for my babies. Almost a year. It's went in price about $3/ bag since then- making the price per pound over $2/pound. They don't do sales on it any more either. The quality isn't that great in comparison to every other kibble- but it is more expensive or the same as name brands with better ingredients. I'm not saying it's bad, but it is simply mediocre. I don't think I'll be buying it anymore. My cats pick at it any way
Healthy food choice
Most of those 1⭐ ratings are voting their cats, not the food. Cats are as autistic as they are independent. They hate change more than cucumbers, and food is no exception. So when you buy this for the first time, get their old food as well. When you feed your cats, use 3/4 old, 1/4 new. After 1/3 of the old food is gone, go to 50/50. Last 1/3, go 1/4 old, 3/4 new, or all new if the like it. Cats have a pallet of a 2yr old toddler, so treat them that way! Now my cats liked the turkey, but at 2.5yr they prefer this. At the price, I love it. After the last 4 years, Chewy raised the price and kept the food quality, if not the resealable bags. After 5 years, no ash, no peas, and no crystals from my 2 cats. A few treats and silvervine tools, and my furry owners are still happy enough to let me sleep through the night. As long as feed them promptly in the morning 🐈⬛🐈⬛
best for my cats
We’ve tried so many foods at high prices and they eventually start throwing it up. Honesty I never should’ve changed their food cause if it wasn’t vomit it was urinary crystals. Plus a 15 lb bag I can’t beat it as our cat numbers grew.
American Journey dry cat food
American Journey dry cat food I was a little disappointed to know that it was green in it rice instead of vegetables so I probably won’t be able to use it and it would be good apples rice is an empty carbohydrate with no food value
She likes it
Didn't notice the size of the bag when I ordered. But its Ok. My cats enjoy it by taste and smell (they're very picky on smell), and a good buy.
cats hate it
My cats will not eat this food. They’re ravenously hungry and get into the garbage because they would rather eat GARBAGE than this chicken flavored food. If all flavors were the same price I wouldn’t have tried this one because they love the duck. This chicken food is absolutely going in the trash.
Larder Beetles, nice!
Never have had an issue with larder beetles before. Lo and behold, I order a new cat food and suddenly have issues. Food itself was fine, all four of my cats ate it, but now I have larder beetles to deal with. So frustrating!
Cats won't eat anymore
I've gotten this food for my cats a few times now, but this current bag they refuse to eat. I don't know if the formula changed or what, but my cats aren't usually picky. Bummer.
Pretty Good Food
This is a very decent food for cats, good ingredient, not bad smell, and keeps my babies full. I only have one problem with it, my cats are not really big fans of it. Which is not a really bad thing since they are very picky. But I think it is a little bland because when I added bone broth, they were very happy with it! Which if you know my cats, you know they are not a fan of wet food, AT ALL. But I'm just gonna keep putting flavors in there for them. It is a small price to pay for them being healthy. Overall, recommend this product!
