I use a rotation of food for my guys. I've heard it's healthier for them, and I just can't imagine having to eat the same thing every day for life. I'm pretty particular with the food I feed them, but on a fixed income I can't do the tippy top premiums. I go for low carbs, high protein, and no corn, wheat, or soy. American Journey checks all these boxes, and my cats love the Indoor variety. I like the small kibble as 2 of my cats have very few teeth due to stomatitis, and another is elderly. Plus, cats are chewers anyway, so the small kibble is readily accepted.
I have one cat that that can open the bag since it no longer has a velcro-type closure. That's how much she loves the food. Well, any food really. She tries to grab my bran muffins or anything I'm eating. Never had a cat like this one. The other cat has good manners.
We are all on an American journey, aren’t we? This food helps our cats to join us. Previously, we used a generic off the shelf brand, which caused their journey to be interrupted by, um, stomach issues. Now they frolic and play again like good American cats. And, I can replace the ruined litter products - since issues have cleared up. Joy! Rapture!
Nutritional value and ingredients are great but neither of my cats will eat this. Not sure why.
Order arrived on time and my cats love this food!
Decent cat food but I have 11 indoor cats and I can’t afford this anymore. It has gone up in price soooo much!!
This brand of food is great, it has all the good stuff. My cat is fat and sassy and loves his food!
Set out three bowls of different brands dry cat food. American Journey chicken was clearly the favorite.
Since my normal dry food was out of stock everywhere, I started looking for a similar food for my two cats. I settled on American Journey because I liked the ingredients. As soon as I brought the bag into the house, both cats would not leave it alone. I gave them both a small taste test, and they loved it. It has been about two weeks and both cats have adapted well. However, as a fair warning, this food will give them stinky poop. Other than that, it’s great.
I was feeding my 2 bundles of joy Science Diet Indoor food, I compared the ingredients with American Journey and was greatly impressed how much healthier it looks on paper. My cats love it. I’m mixing it with a small amount of Science Diet as to not upset their tummies and the are eating it and never turn their cute pink noses from it. My husband is gluten-intolerable so therefore we both are, now our kids are 2. My Sammie is 2 years old and weighs over 16 lbs, needs to lose some weight, Sweet Pie is only 11 lbs, they are siblings. I’m hoping they both could lose a couple of lbs. I recommend it. So far it looks like a winner.
