I bought this bag as an adaptable reward for my Norwegian Elkhound, Sove. While he loves these treats and they're a good size and texture, I was bummed to discover that they don't break well. That both means that I couldn't break them into pieces when I wanted to use them for training and that when he eats them, he leaves a little pile of evidence. They are a largely good treat, however, and are likely good as a bigger reward for other medium dogs, just not suited to my purposes. They have a present, dusty scent that is more pleasant than most protein-heavy treats, but is a little off for me.
I'm doing my best to give Charlie treats he a) likes; b) are good for him; and c) are affordable. Since he seems to like anything I tell him is a treat, the first part is easy. Having limited ingredients that I recognize and can pronounce, that's taken care of. And it qualifies based on the 3rd requirement, so that's it. They're crunchy, a good size, and although I can't say they taste good, he seems to think so.
I purchased these think they were soft. They are like little hockey pucks and extremely dry. I had to use a can to crush it up. It is so dry the dogs couldn’t eat it.
I've been purchasing American Journey treats for several years now, and they NEVER disappoint! My little fur babies absolutely love them and I love how many flavor options there are to choose from. The serving size is perfect for my MinPins and I know I'm giving them a healthy treat without feeling like I've given them something that could potentially affect their weight or overall health.
It's hard to find treats for my dogs who are allergic to chicken. My dogs love these! Same ingredients as their food and NO CHICKEN!
My dog is on a very specific diet due to food sesitivities. This is one of the only treats that fits his needs. It's a nice sized treat and he (and his brother) love the taste. Already put in a second order.
I have 2 dogs & neither of them like these. My friend has 4 dogs & they wouldn't eat them either. I had a Xmas coupon 50% off so I bought 2 bags for price of 1 to get my total up to $49 for free shipping. Well I will see who else may want these, donate to a shelter or I'll have to dispose of them. Waste of money.
My pit bull pup doesn’t normally like biscuit style treats, but now he can’t get enough of them and behaves even better knowing he may get one being a good boy.
My dogs love these! They must smell amazing to the animals, because the cats also come running when I open these treats.
Lamb and sweet potato. Bite size, he. absolutely loves them. He has a problem with acid tummy and nausea between meals. These work perfect. 2-3 (he's a big guy) between meals does the trick. And he enjoys them. Always a great deal.
