Flavor Bored Dogs
I’ve been a customer of Chewy for a long time. They are always helpful and professional. I’ve been purchasing American Journey in different flavors because my dogs eventually get bored with the same smell. The food in fantastic and highly recommended by my vet. I keep switching the flavors though and my two dogs Simply turn their noses until the time comes when the are starving and then the bump my leg to put the dishes down. I’m pleased that American Journey has different flavors but I wish I could please my pups more with something that would make them excited to eat their food. My dogs are my children and I care about their happiness.
Dogs love it
When Lotus oven baked lamb kibble became unavailable, I switched to this food. One of my two doxies is allergic to chicken and this food does not have chicken. They quickly adapted to American Journey and avoided the Lotus food during the transition. Must taste really good to them. The kibble are smaller and easier for my dogs to eat. Looks like this dog food will be a keeper

You can really smell the ingredients in the American Journey food. Buddy loves the food and he gobbles it down. Happy dog, happy mama.
Good Ingredients
I feed my Dachshund the can and my Great Pyrenees the dry. From my research, it's the safest and healthiest ingredients.
Winner with my pups
I have a dachshund and a lab/ mastiff /pit mix and they LOVE it. They transitioned easily. No problems digesting. I didn't give it 5 stars because it has more moisture content than other dog foods and it clumped together. I wonder it the extra moisture makes it have more mass and why the recommended serving is larger than other foods?
Sorry not a good solution for me
My dogs have been on AJ venison and sweet potato grain free for years. Now its out of stock! This was a substitute. My lab has killer gas and my shi tzu is constipated. I realize this is my dogs problem but i wont buy it again.

Entirely different that the previous bag YMMV
I purchased this after rave reviews from my dogs (and cats(they stole it)) on the salmon and sweet potato flavor. Figured I would switch it up as not to bore them. My dogs avoid this like the plague. I almost think they would rather HAVE the plague. These are NOT picky dogs . The will eat Dog Chow as if prepared by Emeril Lagasse himself. This they will not touch. I almost believe it might have been contaminated along the way based on their absolute aversion to it. A waste of a bunch of money when I could have bought Dog Chow for less than half the price and I did for fear of my doglets starving.
Dog w/ allergies
One of my fur babies, Rosie, had started chewing on her paws and scratching at her collar non-stop - after a visit to the vet, she has allergies to the chicken that is in a majority of dog foods. After researching several brands, American Journey with the Lamb and Sweet Potato has hit a home run with Rosie. She loves the food and we love the no scratching and biting.
Healthy and tasty
Our 18 year old golden loves it and she’s a healthy and very senior dog, so it’s must be helping!
