    In rotation

I have 1 year old orange tabby and 3 nine month old kittens. When I first got the kittens they were about 6 weeks old and had not been weaned properly and were eating Friskies shreds. I immediately bought 2 good kinds of wet kitten food and Blue Buffalo dry kitten food. I am a firm believer in good I have 1 year old orange tabby and 3 nine month old kittens. When I first got the kittens they were about 6 weeks old and had not been weaned properly and were eating Friskies shreds. I immediately bought 2 good kinds of wet kitten food and Blue Buffalo dry kitten food. I am a firm believer in good food equals less health issues. I have learned a few things about my fur-children. One, they hate pate. Two, they are very picky about what they will eat and have been since the first day they were rescued. Three, Friskies shreds is their favorite food. Four, they seriously dislike seafood of any type. Having said that, I have tried every conceivable wet kitten food and they want nothing to do with it. I bought American Journey when it was on sale. They will eat the turkey fairly well now on about their 4th try. They like the AJ chicken but not the combo cans with chicken and turkey. As I said earlier no pate. I am going to order another case or two and hope that AJ turkey can be in the rotation. … more

My bengal would have nothing to do with this food! A waste of money for us!

    My Cats Love It!

    By on

I was disappointed when I opened the can and saw how little gravy was in it. My cats generally just lick all the sauce off the Fancy Feast Gravy Lovers food and leave the solids, so I thought they wouldn't like this. Surprise! They eat every last bite.

All of my cats love this canned food

    By on

This is my cats’ favorite canned food, even the pickier ones. We tried the pate version and it was rejected, though two of my cats will reluctantly eat it. They much prefer chunks in gravy. I would definitely remove the carbohydrate sources, if possible. Cats have no need for carbs and it would be an excellent food without them. I would also love to see it in a larger sized can!

Label says it is American made. I'm hoping that is totally true. My cat likes it but this one is not hard to please. I'm always concerned that what I feed them is healthy for them and I think this one is.

    Finicky cats love turkey!

    By on

Have had a difficult time getting my two finicky cats to eat anything but tuna. Since vets say that tuna is not good every day, I have tried various brands of different food for them and it hasnt worked , no matter the flavor or brand until I found American Journey Turkey in gravy. They gobbled it up. Only issue I find is that the gravy has jelled in some cans.

She likes it and is very picky eater. She does prefers beef over chicken or turkey so wish there was more beef in the box.

    May cats like it

I haven’t tried it myself, LOL, but my two boys like the taste. I wish it also came in larger size and with a better price.

    Eats it up

    By on

My kitty boy is picky. He loves a new food for about a week then begins to cool off his intensity. This food has shown good signs. He will eat it and lick the bowl clean. He then starts crying for another can. Most foods he licks the gravy first and then eats the meat. This food is eaten with hearty chomps until its gone. Im not thrilled with veggies in catfood, especially when they tout to be grain free. (I always thought rice is a grain). But the nutritional info seems all good with this one so I am going to continue with it as long as Chester gives it this kind of attention.

Our cats like it and we will order more when out. I thought we were supposed to get $10 off our first order, but we did not.

    The old girl likes it!

    By on Top 100 Contributor

This one is a hit with my picky old girl! She's lost weight after her most recent surgery and I have been having trouble getting her to eat enough to put it back on (she has another surgery coming up, but not until we get her weight back up). The old girl eats like a little bird and always has. Very selective with a touchy gut, so I have to be careful what I even offer her. But this one has worked out nicely for her. Loses a star for being a touch lower in protein than I'd like and for having chicken broth (guys, you're already adding turkey broth, why add chicken broth too? Some cats eat turkey foods because they're allergic to chicken, ya know!), but overall decent ingredients. This one is a hit with my picky old girl!
