Good at first
My dog loved these but since she is on a strict diet and we were awaiting allergy testing we did not finish the bag quickly. Went to give her 1 yesterday and found them to be covered in white fuzzy mold. I don't see where they need to be refrigerated or used within a set time period but maybe that is the case. The date on the bag says Oct 2023 so they should be good. I bought 3 bags and 2 of them are moldy now.
Crack For Dogs
I adopted an old dog. Her last owner cooked her bacon and eggs for breakfast. Needless to say, I don't live up to her expectations of a dog parent. I feed my dogs carrots, green beans and generally healthy snacks. Due to my other dogs skin allergies, we are grain free. Sunshine is not a fan. Because she has old teethe, I bought a bag of these... Hoping she may eat it. My goodness... She lost her mind. She stole a whole bag. When you rip open the bag, you are smacked in the face with the smell of pungent banana. My dogs can smell it from the next room. I receive wags, barks, twirls... It's a circus when we get these out. I think that old dog would follow me to heck and bag for a banana treat. Truly, we are big fans. Constructively, some bags do not arrive "soft". It has been hit and miss but all of my dogs will eat them no matter what. Even the cats came by to inspect. Winner!!!
My terrier is obsessed
She loves these a LOT! she can't get enough of them and she devours them in one go! They smell amazing too and they are in perfect condition no mold, no spoil! They just go so fast! She's always excited and drooling like crazy! My only complaint is they go so fast in the shop! My girl already finished her bag ☺️
moldy!
I just opened a bag of these that have an expiration date of Dec 2023. I went to fill up a treat container and they’re all moldy. And no, it’s not just the banana showing through, it’s definitely mold. I won’t be buying these again.
Misleading name
Pros: It smells so good, it also have chunky banana you can actually see. Cons: It is not soft as the name suggest, size is pretty big individually and hard to break off (it will be messy and your hand will hurt). I was trying this brand for the first time, unfortunately I will stick to fruitables since they are easier to break off and less messy. If you have a very big dog and likes big biscuit like milkbones, then this is the treat for you.
Moldy and smelled like ammonia
Gave it a good review because I truly don’t believe this is the makers fault. I created this review incase this is something someone else ran across. Up until now I haven’t experienced any issues with the many bags of these cookies I’ve purchased. This is the first ‘non-meat’ bag of cookies. Delivered Jan 10th, 2023, opened today March 1st and they are all moldy and the smell of ammonia almost knocked me out when I opened the bag. I took a picture of them next to a different recipe of the same cookie just to look at the color difference. Making sure it wasn’t just me and my eyes. I called Chewy and of course they made it right. I bought two of these bags in the same order and the other bag is just fine.
Don't recommend anymore
I've bought these treats several times before and never had an issue but this time they started to mold less than a week after being opened. They're in date and have been sealed so I don't know why this happened.
Unfortunately not soft
I bought these in hopes of having soft treats for our greyhound while he recovered from dental surgery. Unfortunately, these were hard as a rock and I could not use them during this time.
Best treat
I am a 13week rhodesian rottie husky puppy. I love these treats. They smell like the bananas my hoomans eat. They are soft and big enough to break down to multiple training sized treats or when I'm really good in my kennel, I get a whole treat. They don't hurt my stomach either. I highly recommend these treats and feel spoiled when I get them.
NOT soft-Disappointed
So I have 3 dogs. I ordered these for my Pom-yorkie who has a hard time chewing hard treats. Most of the time he won't even try to eat hard trats. They said SOFT BAKED so I guess I just assumed they would be soft. They are NOT soft. My other 2 dogs will eat them but I won't order them again. Disappointed. If you can see the photo I am pushing hard on the cookie with my thumb. It's not even breaking, or crumbling. I ordered the turkey and the banana ones. The turkey ones where rocks the banana ones where a little softer they would break when pushed down on. But still not "Soft"
