Gradually transition by adding a small amount of American Journey to your dog's current diet, gradually reducing the amount of the current diet and increasing the amount of American Journey for 7 - 10 days until the transition is complete. For sensitive dogs, we recommend a 10 - 14 day transition.
The puppy formula features a larger kibble size, and is formulated to meet specific nutritional requirements for a dog in this life stage. The added glucosamine and chondroitin support joint health through your puppy’s growing stages.
This formula is recommended for use with puppies ranging from 6 weeks old to 12 months of age. It is suitable for any breed size.
American Journey Grain-Free recipes are manufactured in Kansas, USA.
American Journey will source from reputable suppliers in the US and worldwide, dependent upon availability.
No American Journey product has ever been recalled.
Once opened, dry dog food typically lasts 6-8 weeks. For extended freshness, you can place the dry food in an air tight storage container.
The kibble size measures 10 x 5 millimeters – this is a smaller kibble size than the regular formulas, intended for puppies.
There's approximately 17 cups in the 4-pound bag, 52 cups in the 12-pound bag, and 105 cups in the 24-pound bag.
If you plan on transitioning to a new American Journey kibble flavor, we recommend mixing the food gradually for 7-10 days until the transition is complete. For sensitive dogs, we recommend a 10-14-day transition.
Our puppy apparently is quite picky. She started off with the puppy mix the rescue had her on.. that lasted a couple days. Then we tried mixing in other brands but she would refuse to eat anything. Finally I tried this food. She LOVES it! She is happy to eat ( and boy does she go ham on this food), and her coat has never looked shinier! She is healthy and happy, and finally at a normal weight. Plus this food is actually good for her! We are happy, she is happy, so we will keep going with this food.
Our puppy loves this food. So easy to order and fast delivery. Now that I know how long a bag lasts, I'll put this on auto order, I won't have to worry about running out.
I got this for my Christmas puppy and was worried about how quickly she would adjust to eating it, boy was I off... She dove right in and is enjoying the kibble and flavor. No intestinal issues changing from what she was previously being fed and no issues with stool quality
My pup loves the new food. My only issue is the bag. It is hard to open and impossible to keep properly closed. I simply can't believe it is not resealable with a zipped top. If we want to keep using this food we will have to get a storage container big enough to hold it all.
I have all of my dogs on American Journey and just got a new puppy. Decided to try the puppy food for her and she loves it!
Im sure theres nothing wrong with the food. Its just that my dog is super picky and she is not interested in this food.
Since they charged the presentation for the bag of food the quality of the food changed too. My puppies start having diarrhea like if they change the food. That have never happen with any other brand food. Really bad...
Food seems great except that it made my sweet girl smell bad. Couldn't figure out why she's been smelly and after exhausting all other options I rotated other brand of food in and IMMEDIATELY! (1-2 days) she was better. Breath especially. Not sure what ingredients have this effect but it's a game changer unfortunately.
We’ve been whistling Dixie! No, really, we’ve been whistling for Dixie. Our girl loved this food!! But Dixie is now an adult and it’s time to choose a new food. We fed it to our adult Cocker, too, out of convenience. Definitely consider getting this dog food for your pup!!
after two weeks they just wouldn't eat it or it sat there all day until they were starving. At first they loved it, and I thought finally, but now they let it sit, I don't know if it get rancid quickly or the taste changes on them. So I'm disappointed again. I just don't know what delights their taste buds.
