Didn’t like at all!
Neither of my cats would eat this dry food! I tried adding it slowly to their old food but it didn’t help. I even stirred in some canned food, which they licked off, but wouldn’t eat the dry food. The feral cats didn’t like it either, but the raccoons thoroughly enjoyed it. LOL I wound up donating the remainder of the bag to my local shelter.
Cats hate it
My two cats won't even eat this with wet food mixed in. It would be great if companies sold sample packs, so I wouldn't have to waste all this money to find something they like. They love Purina, but I'm trying to deal with an allergy issue.
Good kibble
I don't buy my cat kibble with grain in it as previous cats have gotten diabetes from eating a high carb kibble. My cat is picky but he eats this stuff.
Best Food!
I have been feeding my cat this food for about two years. Best cat food I’ve found. My cat is sensitive to foods that contain poultry, he has had NO problems with this food. His coat looks amazing and he is healthier than ever. I think most bad reviews are about the bag update and how it isn’t resealable anymore… which I think is pretty unfair for the company. Most cat foods don’t even offer that feature. This is a 5 star cat food for sure, just get a container to keep it in people!
Better than most kibble
I was impressed with the Omega 6 to 3 ratio. I've been searching for the perfect cat food and this is very good. They can skip the canola oil, though. My cats love the fishy flavor. Five meows!
AWFUL
Switched from Instinct grain-free salmon to this and now I'm off to the vet with a violently ill cat who's vomiting undigested food and stomach acid. Only time Soup has ever vomited before was coming off of anesthesia. Horrible. My poor buddy is feeling so miserable. Don't buy this product.
American Journey Bag
I have used American Journey dried cat food for years and really liked the feature of of the bag closure they had! Whatever this new bag is made of is awful, can't roll it up won't stay shut and finding a large enough clip to fit the bag, maybe! But it will probably slip off the new slick bag. not sure how I"m going to keep the food fresh. Probably will need to change food over a terrible bag design... Sad
Why did you screw up the bag?
It could not have been unintentional to remove the very nice velcro closure which has always been on this bag. Why? Why? I had to close it up with packing tape and will have to re-cut it and re-tape it for every use. I don’t understand this. You can’t be selling big bags of food with no proper way to re-seal them.
Am. Journey Salmon Grain-Free
My cat was sneezing alot and had recently read that they can be allergic to chicken. I also had a cat who was allergic to corn years ago. There isn't much out there that doesn't have something chicken in a beef flavor or salmon flavored car food. American Journey is the only one that I could find that still has oat in the ingredients. It took my cats a fee days to get use to it. My cat has stopped sneezing and has crazy energy again. I just wished it wasn't so pricey.
Awful new bag
My cats have eaten this food for years and enjoy it. Us humans really liked the old bags because they were resealable. The new bags are so frustrating to keep closed in the cabinet (clips slide off and tape doesn’t stick to the shiny outside) which makes a mess and my kitties are not digging stale food. So disappointed!
